Easyfind requirements

Forums

Hi, I've been checking topics here and  it seems like if there's a firewall (corporate) in the virtualhere server then easyfind won't work right (client is using a home broadband)? or it is possible? just that more firewall configuration is required and not just opening port 443 UDP. Appreciate the response!

two similar webcams, possible?

Forums

Hello,

I got two similar webcams, but i tried with 2 different type webcams and it worked fine.

Now when there are two similar webcams, i can connect only one and it's always the same one.

They are quite low quality cams, only 640x480 so bandwith should not be issue, tested with different cameras that both were fhd and that worked fine.

Might this be issue with windows as client, or virtualhere issue?

vlc and other programs say on camera #1 that it ain't good for opening, but for usb camera (withouth #1 on name) opens up most of times without no problem.

ABD cannot recognized the Android devices from Win (VirtualHere Server) to macOS (VirtualHere Client)

Forums

ABD cannot recognize the Android devices from Win (VirtualHere Server) to macOS (VirtualHere Client)

Server:WIn10, running with VirtualHere server 4.6.7

Client: macOS 14.7, M1 chip, running with VirtualHere client 5.5.7

I enabled the debug mode with my android phone and remote it from Win to macOS,  the Android Studio can find the USB devices, but not recognized it as the android device to enable debugging with Andriod Studio.

If I plug the device in locally to the macOS, the Android Studio can recognized it and work correctly.

How does VirtualHere work when passing a Bluetooth adapter and my client (gamine pc) already has one?

Forums

My client machine (ie. my gaming 'server') has a built-in a bluetooth adapter which I use to connect my local keyboard and gamepad, etc.

However, I use a long optical HDMI cable (~75 ft) to a different room and I'd like to add a bluetooth adapter there too (using VirtualHere and an RPi [or similar] server device).

How does this work?

If I understand correctly, my gaming machine (client) would see two bluetooth adapters and I can't specify which one I want to pair my controllers to.

Bluetooth mouse freezes via Pi3 Dongle

Forums

I use an RPi 3 to function as a desk based USB hub - my machine is in a rack with HDMI over CAT cabling for AV. The system works well but my bluetooth mouse seems to 'fall asleep' ocasionally when it hasn't moved for a moment, or ocasionally when it's in use too. It's going via TP link Bluetooth dongle that seems to work well with virtualhere - it's just the mouse issue. I didn't experience this when connected directly to my machine.

Running raspbian lite, not doing much else on there.

Hide devices from certain clients

Forums

Hi,

Is there a way to add a list of devices to the client config file so that client won't display those devices? We have a current need to hide some devices from some users, but allow others to see those devices. I could add client authorisation or change client nicknames to something generic, but we'd rather the users who shouldn't access those devices not to even be able to see those devices.

Thanks,
Steven.
