My home has a Windows PC and two NVIDIA Shields:

• Shield #1: Runs VirtualHere Server; on the opposite end of the house from my PC
• Shield #2: Does not run VirtualHere Server; in the same room as my PC

Both rooms have an Xbox Wireless Controller, and I have two Xbox Wireless Adapters: one adapter is plugged into Shield #1, and the other is plugged into the PC. Shield #1's controller connects to the PC via VirtualHere, while Shield #2's connects directly to its dongle via RF because it's in the same room as the PC.

I keep getting the pop-up message to allow a USB connection on the Android phone, but it disappears very quickly.  Even if I do manage to click "allow" it doesn't seem to work.  Maybe something with IDs changing on the server side is causing the Android phone to think it's connecting to a new USB each time?  Tried on two Samsung phones, with two different cables, same issue.  Android OS is version 15, One UI version (Samsung's wrapper) version 7.0.

KVM/IP: Viewer: Lock Aspect Ratio is not respected when window is maximized, so it is forcing me to stretch and stretch and stretch the window manually every time until I can get a somewhat clear picture. A simple, venerable shortcut to maximize the window in one click does maximize the window indeed, but then, VirtualHere stretches the picture beyond recognition (obviously ignoring the Lock Aspect Ratio setting). This might seem like a minor point, but, trying to use VirtualHere KVM/IP daily, this issue does bring pain and frustration.

trying to get my XBOX Wireless dongle to work, would like to buy the Software.

The dongle is plugged in into a Raspberry Pi Model B Plus.
USB-Sticks and a Turtle Beach gamepads wireless dongle are working like a charm.

The XBOX Wireless dongle is also recognized and forwarded to the Windows 11 client.
It is getting displayed in the device manager as expected, but if I turn on a wireless controller, it keeps flashing and is not connected.

Hi there, sometimes im getting this error , when im trying to mount usb it says yellow error in windows 11 "USB not recognized" and then this usb dissapears from list.
In the log i have this:

I'm using the newest virtualhere usb server 4.7.8

The game crashes Virtual Here, causing the PC I have setup for work at home to have to delete all Virtual Here components in system32 and AppData so I can access the game. Any solution? The game is blocking the Vhusb3hc.sys driver. Is there a solution so I don't have to force take ownership of the driver and then cause errors on my system, so I can keep my work setup at home? I can't find a solution other than building another PC yet.

Hi there, what else has to be allowed except default port 7575 on host with virtualhere usb server to be redistribute keys over lan.
As i allowed port 7575 and its still doesnt work i cant see virtualhere on client.

The VirtualHere client sees the iphone device but it does not show up in Finder. My goal was to back up the device to the VM.

Any help on how I can get this to work? Thank you.

I just downloaded and installed the QNAP package from https://www.virtualhere.com/nas and my NAS gave the following message upon installation:
[App Center] The app digital signature has expired: VirtualHere USB Server

It appears that the signature expired in the package, however I don't see any actual impact from that (yet) other than the error message.  This is just an FYI.

I love my steamlinks to death, and use them as thin clients around the house (e.g. run my 3d printer/laser cutter in the garage). Fiddling with the steamlink, I noticed that vhusbdarm version is v4.5.6 from April 2023 while the current version was released May 2025. So I'm just curious if it'll get further updates, or if it's possible to sideload the current binary onto the steamlink via SSH.
