Failed Checksum for Version 4.9.8 Checksums

Forums

Hello,

I am downloading the latest client for windows. I downloaded vhui64.exe and the SHA1SUM checksum file from the client download page. I ran a sha1sum check and have the checksum "22b9eceaf24493644e1fec14dc93b3308c0f9869" whereas the SHA1SUM file has "22b9eceaf24493644e1fec14dc93b3308c0f9869". Is the checksum file out of date? I redownloaded the file a couple times to make sure it wasn't download corruption. (I also checked the linux vhclientx86_64 and the check against the SHA1SUM file failed too.) Can you check this out?

Thanks!

USB device to client communication

Forums

Hello,

I´ve got one machine running the server, to this machine is connected cutting plotter via USB port, other machine in LAN runs the client and can see the host and all its usb devices, I can connect to the shared USB plotter and then there starts automatic installation of the VirtualHere usb drivers followed by installation of the USB plotter.

VirtualHere noob - Nvidia Shield Pro (2019) to Win10

Forums

The interface for both the client and server seem simple as falling off a log but apparently I'm missing some key settings.

I've installed the server on my Shield TV Pro (2019) and a client is on my Win10 desktop. The goal is to plug a Logitech G13 gameboard into the Shield and stream games from my Win10 PC via either the Steam Link app or Moonlight.

Starting VirtualHere server on Win 10 machine disables Bluetooth on server

Forums

When I start the virtualhere server on my laptop it disables my bluetooth or at least causes my mouse and keyboard to lose their bluetooth connection to the laptop. The only way I have found to restore their connection is restart my laptop.

Anyone have a workaround for this?

USB device conflicts

Forums

We have an issue with the VirtualHere client on our HP towers and laptops running Windows 10. The issues that users are reporting is that USB devices that are connected randomly disconnect and USB ports do not recognize new devices plugged in as the ports seem to be non-operational, A reboot is necessary to reset the USB subsystem. The problems persist once VH subsystem is running.

Picking a CPU for a VirtualHere server (single thread vs multi thread)

Forums

Months ago, I was trying to push the limits of speed with my VirtualHere setup but I'm running into a problem with a high-performance device.

OS: Debian 9.3 4.9.0-8-amd64
VirtualHere Server 4.0.0
CPU: Xeon E5-1620 v2 @ 3.70GHz

My Windows 10 client host is directly connected to the server through 10 GigE network cards.

Bluescreen with Xbox Wireless Adapter (Steam Link)

Forums

Hello and thank you for reading my post,

I have set up my Steam Link and bought VirtualHere (+ Unlimited DLC) and everything works fine except when I share the Xbox wireless adapter and try to connect a controller. Just as it (the controller) connects the PC has a BSOD (irql_gt_zero_at_system_service). I have tried it multiple times and the connection is stable even with the adapter shared but only when I connect the controller it chrashes...

Thx in advance

Tim

Any update on macOS Catalina support?

Forums

I am using a Brother QL-1100 printer connected to an Asustor NAS with the VirtualHere driver.

The Brother P-Touch Editor software supplied with the printer works fine on Catalina and I am able to print using the label designer despite the printer not showing up in the list of Printers and Faxes in OS X Settings. Hence the P-Touch software seems to be able to make a direct connection to the QL-1100 via VirtualHere - so something definitely works.

My system stopped working

Forums

Hi everyone,

For the last few weeks I've been happily using VirtualHere to share two USB printers via a Synology NAS. It was simple enough to install the NAS package and the client on my Windows machines.

But something has broken my happy setup. In the last few days the Client keeps "searching for hubs", then "connecting to USB hub", but it never connects. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the client, using the latest version. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the server app.

Curious how one installs updated drivers for VirtualHere?

Forums

So I use DUMO to monitor my drivers every good once in awhile. This go around, ive knocked everything off the list except

---VirtualHere USB 3 eXtensible Host Controller VirtualHere Pty. Ltd. 4.39.57.513 Update available (18.15.19.112)---

what does one need to do in order to update that guy? Uninstall the host controller, re-download the newest client and run it?
