Support for VirtualHere hardware and software

There was an error using this device.

Forums

Hi

I'd like to use VirtualHere Server on a Mac with macOS Mojave 10.14.5 and a Mac client of the same version of macOS. A Sentinel dongle that runs on the server shows on the client. The first time I used this device on the client some driver was installed, but installation of the driver ended with an error message. Now, when clicking "use this device" for the Sentinel dongle it's always showing the error "There was a error using this device."

OSX: Client can't install driver when trying to connect to a server->device

Forums

Hi, I have the server (trial) set up on a WIn10 machine and have used EasyFind to get the Client to find the server. Every things working up to this point. I can see the server and its USB devices on the client.

When I try to connect to a device, the client starts to install a device driver under OSX and I get an error saying it can't.
I've followed the direction to reboot and try again, with the same result.
Here is the log from the client.

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Forums

Hello!
I purchased this software through Steam for use with the Android TV version of Steam Link.
Long story short (I've spent hours troubleshooting this and I usually know my way around PCs), I get the "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" error with both Xbox 360 Controller and DualShock 4 Controller.
A usb wireless mouse however works (it's a cheap Microsoft wireless mouse, it shows up as MS nano transreceiver or something along those lines).
The most interesting part is that the two controllers give out different error messages.

Reverse proxy

Forums

Hello again.

well i have a server synology. I am using it as a plex server and it uses a reverse proxy so I do not have to open multiple ports on my router. I'm having trouble or I do not know if it's compatible for me to use a single port to connect from the outside on the virtualhere server.

My setup is like this.

Problem with Android server (licenced) - Works for about 3-5 minutes then suddenly stops working

Forums

Hello

After some confusion i bought the Android server licence and it seems to working fine.

Im not using SSL.

I have both "keep wifi on" and "keep awake" checked in the virtualhere app.

I then minimize the app and launch moonlight client for stream to my computer.

Everything works fine for a while (even though the mouse sensitivity is pretty awful, any way to fix this? =S), but after a few minutes i can hear my client disconnecting my USB-inputs. Only way to get it working is pull out the OTG from the phone and reinsert it.

Problem getting it running on Anrdroid TV

Forums

Hello. I'm having a problem running VirtualHere.

My server is: NVidia Shield with Android TV, I installed VirtualHere there and it runs.
My client is: Windows 10 64-bit laptop, I run the client and it looks to run fine.
The USB device is "FrSky XSR-SIM", which is a game controller / gamepad type of device.

I can succesfully connect this device - it is plugged into Shield TV. The PC sees it and I can "use device". Then it appears in Windows in "Game controller" and all looks fine - Windows does see the device. However gamepad movements are not transferred.

OSX kernel panic (device disconnect)

Forums

Hi together,

I use 'virtual here' to connect from my mac to a windows machine.
roughly three months it worked perfect :-)

But then (?I guess there was an OS X update?) when I start 'virtual here' client all my devices will be disconnected. On my screen I get the info keyboard and mouse disconnected. And I can´t control my mac anymore. After some seconds the screen will go black with the notification "Your computer restarted because of a problem" (kernel panic)

W10 client not working or driver problem?

Forums

Hi,

I cant get VirtualHere to work :(

Situation:
- VirtualHere server for Android.
- Windows 10 client (As a service).

If I run VirtualHere client gui I can see the hub and the attached devices. But windows itself does not see any device. One thing to note is that the client says "(In use by you)" after the devices. It might be something with the driver, since on the Device Manager it appears with exclamation:

This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)
