VirtualHere Client doesn't work on OS X 10.14.6

Forums

Hello,

I have trouble using VirtualHere Client on MacBook Pro 2019 running OS X 10.14.6.
I opened the VirtualHere Client, and I connected to the Wi-Fi of my device running server. My device appeared in the VirtualHere Client and then an installation wizard popped up. I install follow the guide and it failed. Still I cannot use my device via Wi-Fi.

Question about configuration file.

Forums

Hello,

I found that I can use "-c" to specify a configuration file of VirtualHere. Is there any documentation shows how to use that?
p.s. I want VirtualHere runs as a service and always auto use just my device, without any further operation needed when the Wi-Fi connected to my device.
Your reply will be highly appreciated!

VirtualHere performance on a Raspberry Pi 4 B with 4GB of RAM ???

Forums

When running on a Raspberry Pi 4 B how close is it able to get to 480 bits per sec on the USB port to a Win7 client over a Gigabit ethernet link ???

I want to use it with a USB Oscilloscope which requires this mode.

What are the restrictions imposed on the free version ???

Best regards,
Dave

Virtualhere Crash on MacOS 10.13.6

Forums

I upgraded a couple of MacPros (5,1) from 10.9 to 10.13.6
The linux server was upgraded to 4.0.3, the Mac client version now is 4.9.0
I'm serving licence dongles, primarily iLoks. They work for a few minutes before the Virtualhere client crashes, sometimes followed by a kernel panic.
I completely removed and reinstalled the kernel modules with reboots inbetween in order to make sure I have the right version installed.
Do you have any suggestions what to try to find the cause of the problem?
I attached logs that might help.

Devices not showing up and out of screen menu

Forums

Hello, i have a couple of issues this time.
After having the server running for a while, some of the devices reset their names and 4 of them disconnected.
I dont know if anyone touched the setup, but the names should not just reset out of nowhere. I cant recreate the issue as i dont know what happened. Log files didnt really tell me anything.
The 4 that disconnected are all in the same hub, but they show as connected on the server side.

CloudHub configuration with routing upstream

Forums

Is there a recommended way to have a CloudHub that is an AP for VirtualHere *and* provides internet access to connected systems via the cloudhub's wifi connection to a router? I'd like to use the WAN when my laptop is connected to Cloudhub.

Woulds any of the "router class" hardware (e.g., GL-MT300N-V2) would handle this better (and easier) than a Raspberry Pi with an extra wifi dongle?

Bonus points if the CloudHub could remember the WLAN wifi SSID/passwords it had previously connected.
