Disappearing/Missing Dongles - Linux

Forums

Hi,
OK so we have been running a dongle server on Linux (debian VM) for a couple of years, rarely problems with maybe a good 8-12 dongles.
Mid last year, we seem to lose alot of the dongles, as in they were not visible from the Windows clients (VMs). After a reboot of the Linux system all was well.
But the last couple of months, things have been getting slowly worst. Currently problems:
1. We don't see all the dongles, maybe 4 out of a good 8.

Connecting storage devices allows for detection, but not for interaction

Forums

Hello, been enjoying the service for about a month now with an Android server and a Windows client.

However, today I tried to connect several different storage devices to my server (ADATA external HDD, and a couple USB 3.0 drives from Kingston and SanDisk), and while they are detected and in use on the VirtualHere client, for some reason I am not able to find them in either Device Management, Disk Management or File Explorer.

It would help me a lot to find a way to solve this, given I'm running out of space in my current VM.

So, thanks in advance!

I need to share a smart card reader (bit4id).
I connect to the nas using a vpn.

Now occurred that the client (osx Mojave) can see the usb device but trying to connect it I have no response...
After a wile the usb device will disappear.. I tried to restart nas but I need to unplug and reconnect the usb to let it work again...
What can I do?
Is this normal?

Raspberry Pi model 3B+ gigabit performance

Forums

Hi folks. I am thinking about using VirtualHere on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ (the one with the gigabit ethernet) to remote a software defined radio to a VM that's running on a server in my basement over a switched gigabit ethernet network.

The SDR can push the limit USB 2.0 rates, and I was wondering if the Raspberry Pi had enough performance to run a virtualhere server that was handling close to 480 mbps. I can't seem to find much info on the Raspberry Pi as a server here, particularly running over gigabit ethernet.

Synology DS1019 NAS + Windows 7 x64 Client USB 3.0 Possible?

Forums

Hello Michael,

I've sent you an e-mail and then decided to post the questions here is they
may be of interest for somebody else as well.

I've just bought your software for my Synology DS1019+ NAS. It is a
very convienient approcach for the software to run as a Windows
service allowing a transparent USB over IP functionality.

But I have several questions regarding the software features and limitations.
