Raspberry Pi 4 and Microphone

Forums

I did some digging on the forums and saw info about older Raspberry Pi's having issues with microphones on USB audio (not remembering the term off the top of my head). Guess it was some sort of Kernel bug. But I'm not seeing anything about the Pi 4.

Does the the Pi4 have this issue as well? Planning a project that will have game controllers and USB audio connected and was considering a Pi 4 for the project, but if there are still audio issues I'll have to change plans. Thanks in advance :)

Own 2 ShieldTV devices, is two licenses required?

Forums

I use a ShieldTV x2 which I do most of my steam streaming through from my windows PC using the steamlink app.

I have installed the windows client, and the android server app on both ShieldTV units. The client sees them both.

I was about to purchase a license however when I right click/license in the client - it looks to give me two listings "android hub s/n xxxxxxxxx, 1 device" and "android hub s/n yyyyyyyyyyy, 1 device"

Im unsure how to proceed.

Connection Timeout after 12 Seconds

Forums

Hi, I've found this program and am trying to implement it into a client-to-server workflow so they can share their USB scanner. The client application will find the server application and appears to connect for twelve seconds, then disconnect, find again, connect for 12, disconnect, etc. on loop. I've copy/pasted the system message below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

crash when install "osxdriver.pkg" on OS X 10.14

Forums

Hello,

I tried to user -d parameter to install drivers on my Mac running OS X 10.14, and the system crashed.
Then I extract the driver and got "osxdriver.pkg", I tried this pkg file and the system crashed again.
So how can I install the driver on OS X 10.14?
Look forward to your soonest reply. Thanks!

Need an additional parameter for authentication purposes

Forums

While being sent the username automatically can be nice, it is not very flexible for some scenarios.

would it be possible to add another option to the client that can be set by the end user of the client, like $CLIENT_SECRET or similar?

this would allow for me to give the client secret to someone which they enter into their client config. The same thing could happen if you allowed for overriding the username that is passed, but i didnt see a way to do this.

please let me know your thoughts.

Linux client limit

Forums

When using the linux client i only seem to be able to connect to 8 devices at once. On windows the limit seems to be 16, but that seems to be a limit in windows, not the software.
Is the linux limit from the OS or the software?
And can it be bypassed in any case?
