Connection to Power quality analyzer SONEL unstable

Forums

Hi im trying to connect to Power quality analyzer SONEL PQM 700. I just install VirtualHere in PB PI 3 and it works well. I also can connect to my analyzer but connection is very slow lees than 50 KB/s. RB PI is connected to WiFi and computer also connected to the same WiFi. I also try by changing PB PI to laptop with windows but it's the same. I can see some online information (courent, voltage, power etc. ) but when i want to see on-line charts of voltage or courent the connection to analiser is lost.

Simplify3d on Mac client

Forums

I did some searching prior to writing this and I see similar posts, but none that match my specifics. I am running the server on a raspberry pi with a Flashforge Dreamer 3d printer hooked up to it. My client is a Mac running 10.14.2. I can see the device in the client list, and I can see that it is in use by me, but when I try to launch either Simplify3d, or the Flashforge FlashPrint software, the device does not show up. I saw windows client instructions that had the user use a -3 flag and that seems to have worked.

Can make a connection but after this nothing happens.

Forums

Hi,
I am trying to get your software working.

I am able to connect the client to the server and click use device and it says the device is in use by me. But after that nothing happens, I do not see the device anywhere and I do not have any errors showing up.

Serverside:
Physical Machine
Windows server 2016 standard Version 1607
vhusbdwin64 version 3.8.1.0

Clientside:
Virtual machine (VMWare)
Windows server 2016 standard Version 1607
vhui64 version 4.6.4.0

Microchip USB Serial

Forums

Server: vhusbdarmpi2 v3.8.1
Client: MacOS v3.9.9 on OSX 10.14.2

I have a Microchip USB Serial device (ID 04d8:fb24 Microchip Technology, Inc.) running on an RPi Jessie. The server runs fine, and offers the Microchip device to the client. It appears in the Mac client* and I can "use" it. However, the virtual device device does not appear on the mac in /dev. Although, it will appear in /dev if connected directly to the Mac (as /dev/ttyACM0).

Any ideas why this is not showing as a serial device on the Mac?

WD My Cloud Server Install Instructions Needed

Forums

Your release notes say you support WD My Cloud servers. But your NAS page has no instructions for installing the Virtualhere server on them.

https://virtualhere.com/node/958 says:

3.2.8 (7th March 2017)
-------------------------------
* Added support for WD My Cloud NAS devices

https://virtualhere.com/nas just lists QNAP , Synology , ReadyNAS, ASUSTOR -- no WD My Cloud.

How is a VirtualHere device different from a "real" USB device?

Forums

I have a USB-connected data logging device for some OLD hardware. It all works pretty well, except that the software needs to run on Windows XP. It's well protected and never touches the internet so I'm not worried.

I have an old windows XP VirtualHere client that has worked well enough, but occasionally XP crashes. It never did this when the data logger was connected physically.

I should mention that the XP machine is a virtual machine.
