Several identical devices

Forums

Hello,

I have Debian GNU/Linux 8.11 x64 and latest versions Linux USB Server and Windows x64 client, D-LINK DUB-H7 and 5 ARDS Jacarta devices. These devices has a same vendor, vendor id, product id and serial. Only the address is different. I rename one of five device from "JaCarta" to "Device1". When I rename second device to "Device2", name of first becomes "JaCarta". We have commercial license.

Every new machine that I have to connect a device from requires server to restart..?

Forums

Everytime I have a new machine to connect a device I have to stop server and restart the server program. Why is this required? This is currently what holds me back from purchasing a license. If I have to restart the server everytime a new client has to connect, then it simply becomes to tedious.

Here's the problem as an example:

I have a server pc, that pc with client#1 connects to fine and without problems. Then I close the pc with client #1 and start pc with client #2. Client#2 then cant find the usb hub until I stop the server, and restart the server program.

Device not working after using VirtualHere

Forums

Hey,

I have a Problem after using VirtualHere. We are using a company internal USB Device, which is based on libusb1.0. It is a atmel controller to connect to some other devices with a special bus system.

The Device always worked, with the WinUSB Driver, until i used it over a VirtualHere Setup.
