Raspberry pi 3 crashing

Forums

Hi all,

I have a raspberry running the latest version of raspbian and all updates installed.
Created a crontab to run the optimized version of virtualhere for pi3 and a smart meter console cable connected via USB.
On the client side, a Intel NUC is running the latest version of ubuntu server and the virtualhere client.

When first contact is made, the data from my smart meter is available in the NUC, but after a few hours the raspberry crashes.
If I examine the server logs, there are a lot of messages:

Include date for "System Messages"?

Forums

Hey... The new 4.6.4 W7 client seems to work great. No more crashes and better connectivity to the Pi server with my Smarthome 2412S device.

I check "system messages" periodically to see if anything goofy is going on, and see things like the log below. But I look at it and wonder if those disconnects happened yesterday, the day before, or when.

Any chance of including the date in the message?

Server Creation

Forums

Hello,

I am new user of VirtualHere. Using 2 laptops on Windows 10, connected via the same local network, the program works as intended.

I am attempting to connect 2 PCs that are running on separate networks. I'm unsure if this is possible without including a third-party. So far I have followed the 'Server Configuration' thread in attempt to identify 1 of the PCs as the server.

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Plugable USB Soundcard Issue

Forums

I am trying to get a plugable USB soundcard to work with Virtualhere server running on a Raspberry Pi 3B+. All work as it is supposed to and 15 minutes to an hour later( variable timing) the audio becomes garbled and unusable. In syslog below I think things start to go wrong around 12/27/2018 at 19:40.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Client on DietPI on Odroid - modprobe: FATAL: Module vhci_hcd not found

Forums

Hi, I have a machine as a licensed VirutalHere server.
I want to run the client on an Odroid running DietPi. I have a new install of DietPi. I see it has a built in option to run the VirutalHere server, but not the client.
I have downloaded vhclientarmhf to /usr/local/bin
If I run it, then i get this error.

modprobe: FATAL: Module vhci_hcd not found in directory /lib/modules/4.14.66+

Reading around tells me this is because USBIP is not installed. But I do get a response back from USBIP list
