VirtualHere server forces OS to unload USB completely

Forums

I tried trial version of VirtualHere server on Windows 2012 server and on Synology NAS. And I am willing to buy a licence, but it seems that it is not stable.
At first it works great on both devices, but after few days, on random disconnection USB device disappears from server, and I cannot connect to it anymore.
Solution that seems to work is to go to the server and physically reconnect USB, than it works again for some time.

Wireless disconnects on TP-Link TL-MR3020 V1 mini router

Forums

I purchased a TP-Link TL-MR3020 V1 mini router per the instructions on this site...from day one, the wireless connection drops anywhere from 60-90 seconds and continues to reconnect, over and over and over. I made sure I had the right firmware, matched up the hardware, etc., etc. Performed a reset and no luck. I feel pretty strongly that this will be blamed on my hardware and that I'll not get a lot of support, so this begs two questions...

Connecting iOS Devices through NAS/Windows Servers

Forums

Currently, we have a set up of a NAS, Windows Server and OSX server as a VirtualHere server.
As of now, the VirtualHere client on a Mac mini can only connect to the iOS devices currently physically connected to the OSX server.

However, when we tried to plug in an older iPod touch of iOS 10.4 to the NAS server, we are able to detect it through VirtualHere but it does not work on newer devices of iPhone 7 and iPhone 8, iOS > 11.0.

USB Stick not recognized by plugin-alliance license check

Forums

Hi Michael,

I've encountered a strange problem I cannot solve without your help.
I'm using a USB stick for my Waves licenses and it's working perefctly fine.
No I wanted to do the same with my plugin-alliance licenses on the same USB stick since they also support this.
But the plugins cannot find the license on this stick when mounted via virtualhere.
When the USB stick is directly connected to a Mac or PC the licenses getting recognized.

XBO controller detection on Windows 10 version 1803

Forums

I've been running into a problem recently, that I'm wondering if others are having.

I have two XBO controllers with wireless adapters. One wireless adapter is connected to my Windows 10 PC for local gaming, and the other to a Shield TV running the VirtualHere server, for gamestreaming from the same Windows 10 PC, which is running the client.

Linux Server can not use devices

Forums

Hey there,

i'm using a netPi. On this device runs a yocto linux with an docker host. This starts a container witch an raspbian stretch 4.9. The virtual here server is running under this raspbian container. When i try to share USB-Serial-Converters the server shoes the folloeing error message in the log:

Mon Jul 2 15:06:37 2018 LOG_ERR Error 1 opening device (/home/pi/bus_usb_001_015) file descriptor, Operation not permitted

The server runs under root. Any ideas why this could happen?
