Weird behavior when connecting from Windows clients

Forums

Hi,

I have the following setup:

  • Licensed VH Server running on RPi with SafeNet USB token attached
  • VH Windows Production machine (PROD) running VH Client as a service
  • VH Windows Development machine (DEV) running VH Client as a service

Now on the DEV machine, where I click "Use this device"  there are no problems detecting the token.

Xbox Series X controller doesn't work

Forums

Hello,

Plugging the controller directly into the Windows 11 client works. Windows picks it up and I can update the firmware.

Same cable plugged into a linux usb server and then enabled on the Windows 11 client shows the controller in device manager, with the same driver, doesn't sh ow up in joy.cpl nor the xbox accessories. This behavior was seen on Windows 10 as well.

Just wanted to report that.

Lenovo T16: external usb ports are disabled after vhfilter.exe --install-filter

Forums

Hi,

as indicated in the headline:

After I installed the filter driver on my Lenovo T16 (Win11 Enterprise) I rebooted the system as indicated on the command line.

Afte reboot none of my usb devices would enumerate anymore when connected to an usb port. I rebooted another time, just to make sure ... but still no USB port function anymore.

Fortunately the internal peripherals like keyboard and touchpad still worked, otherwise I would have been in real in trouble.

Trying to switch back on these external ports I used:

Raspberry Pi : license information and recommended specs

Forums

Hi,

I recently set up a wireless VR simRig in my basement and right now I use the my Android phone as a server for all my USB peripherals. It works really well but it's not super practical and I would like to set up a dedicated device as a server. A Raspberry Pi sounds like a perfect option.

I however have 2 questions :

Client Not Detecting Server

Forums

Hello, I am trying to use VirtualHere to use a wired gaming mouse over Steam Link over a local WiFi network. I have a VirtualHere client running on my desktop, which is running my game, and I am trying to use my wired gaming mouse on my laptop, which is using Steam Link to stream the game from my desktop to that laptop. The VirtualHere client on the desktop does not detect the server running on the same network. I have tested this with both the client software, and also with the Steam Link specific client.

Devices shared with VirtualHere are not recognized by VMWARE Workstation

Forums

I have a Windows 11 Professional machine with VirtualHere Client and VMware Workstation.

The VirtualHere Client successfully shares remote USB keys.

However, the VMware host virtual machines do not recognize the connected virtual devices.

How can I resolve this?

Thank you.

The VirtualHere routing system cannot use DNS forwarding in routers

When using the VirtualHere routing system in a router, DNS forwarding is not possible, and AdGuardHome cannot be used properly. Clients need to specify DNS in the network batch to access the internet, and using VirtualHere routing cannot proxy DNS
