VirtualHere and Configurator 2

Forums

Hello,
I am trying to use VirtualHere to access iOS devices in Configurator. This has worked previously, but is not working now. The Computer running the client and Configurator is an iMac (Late 2014) running 10.12.4 and I have tried Windows 7 Machines and OS X Machines as the server with no change. I can connect to the device, but it doesn't appear in Configurator, even if I use the port first and then open Configurator.

VH not allowing me to see device when using PyUSB or python-libusb1

Forums

Hi,

I am trying to use PyUSB and/or python-libusb1 to communicate with a USB device on my local host (MacBook running 10.12 Sierra).

`lsusb` showed the devices ok (it's a bash script which filters the output of `System Information.app`)

however, the pyusb and python-libusb1 find examples do not detect my devices. It only detects the standard apple devices (presumably the hubs).

Looking at the output of `ioreg -l` I noticed that VH was matching against those devices, even when neither the VH client or server was running.

VirtualHere issues over VPN (TCP:443)

Forums

I am trying to use VirtualHere in the following scenario:

VirtualHere Server 3.2.9 (unlimited) on Synology NAS
- FTDI adapter
- USB ATmel ICE

VirtualHere Client 4.0.6 on Windows 7 x64 Enterprise

The PC client is connected to Synology NAS using a VPN (openVPN) connection on port 443, using TCP (TAP) (only 443 is available for VPN).
There are no issues with the VPN connection, the throughput is stable and around 10mbps. VirtualHere client discover the Synology Hub with all USB peripheral attached and connect to them with no problems.

bbb otg

Is there any chance of creating a 2 beaglebone black setup where one is the server, and the other one passes the usb through the otg to a computer? (without installing/running anything on that pc)

Linux console client

Forums

Hello,

I'm planing to setup a server for my 3D printer due it's not close to my virtual server I have placed my QNAP nas close to it and connected the printer to it.
I have also connected a webcamera.

Camera and printer works using windows client.

As I understand I need to buy a license to to even test if it works.
There are no other way?

data through put

Forums

I am passing a lot of data and the program on the client side is not getting all the data, or at least not in real time. The server side CPU is running ~30% so it doesn't appear that the server pc is the issue. If I connect directly to the instrument by passing the VirtualHere connection, no data is lost. Any ideas where the dropout or delay of getting data is when using VirtualHere? When VirtualHere is connected, it's connected on Gigabit connection network.

elicenser cubase hang

Forums

Hi Michael

I have just downloaded the trial generic server version to test use of Cubase with an elicenser pluged in to an RPi3. Unfortunately Cubase hangs on boot up, seemingly on trying to access the networked RPi3.

Any clues on how I can get this to work, or investigative actions to undertake?

Many thanks in advance.
