I've recently installed VirtualHere and it is working ok for most of my devices with the exception on a SBIG camera.

The device is shown ok in the client as "USBI-CAM Engine", when I select use this device I get an error "There was a error using this device".

On what Android systems does this app work?
PlayStore says my Samsung Tab E is not compatible with it so I tried to install manually by downloading the apk. But that also does not work... :-/

I'm running client in administrative mode to be able to disconnect other users. I find it only possible via GUI. Is there any option to disconnect other users via IPC command? The best would be to have an option which performs like that: check if other users are using device, if so - disconnect them and start using a device.

I just started using Virtualhere for a few days on a Synology DS1515+, it worked great!
Since this morning al my clients can't find the Synology any more.
I know my Synology did an update (Version: 6.0.2-8451-6) this night, maybe Synology blocked some ports?

I've just found this fantastic piece of software and I'm evaluating it for use for the combination Synology NAS, HP4050 Scanner, macOS Sierra (10.12.1) and Vuescan.

Vuescan finds the scanner and I'm able to scan, however the scan (of a 10x15 print) gets sort of chopped up in 4 or 5 slices. Sounds like the scanner jumps back and forth and does not hit the right spot on it's way back. Could it be some buffering/sync issue?

Plugging the scanner right into the computer produces perfect results.

I want to share the r8152 but i cannot. The client connect at it but the pc does not find new device in ubuntu. In windows all OK.

one quick question: i use openmediavault on a raspberry 3 as nas server. it is configured that my hdd spins down after a short time. i wanna use virtualhere with a dongle on the same usb hub as the hdd.

does the virtualhere server change the settings of openmediavault hdd management especially the spin down time? in my case i think the hdd was permanently active after virtualhere server installation? are there special settings?

I have some USB-tokens JaCarta on Ubuntu server. There is a problem with rename device in VH Client. Only last device can be renamed, previous device returns name to default "JaCarta".
