one quick question: i use openmediavault on a raspberry 3 as nas server. it is configured that my hdd spins down after a short time. i wanna use virtualhere with a dongle on the same usb hub as the hdd.

does the virtualhere server change the settings of openmediavault hdd management especially the spin down time? in my case i think the hdd was permanently active after virtualhere server installation? are there special settings?

I have some USB-tokens JaCarta on Ubuntu server. There is a problem with rename device in VH Client. Only last device can be renamed, previous device returns name to default "JaCarta".

Hi all, getting a BSOD 3x this evening already, and 3x last night too!
It seems to be happening randomly, though maybe has to do with having a mouse and keyboard plugged in?

I've installed Virtualhere server on my Nivdia Shield TV and a Virtualhere client on my PC because I wao ment to move files from my PC to a 4 To USB HDD plugged in my Nvidia shield. This is working all right except that when I mount The HDD on my PC it's disconnected from the Shield TV. To get it back I have to, each time, shut it down and power it on. I know this is not really a big deal but is there a way to avoid this issue? it would make the use of virtualhere so much easier and seamless to me.

We have an Ubuntu 16.04 server (VMWare VM) running VH as a service, but since we built it a few months ago, and particularly in the last few weeks, it appears to need almost nightly reboots to fix VH - I'll wait up in the morning to texts from work saying "it's down again" and I'll have to reboot the VM to fix it (stopping and starting the service itself has mixed results).

I have downloaded the virtualhere x64 client off the virtualhere website. I have connected a DS4 controller via USB to the steam link and enabled the share option under the virtualhere menu.

Nothing shows up on my windows PC on the virtualhere client after doing this.

I read on Reddit that someone mentioned the website versions wont work with the steam link and you need to get the version sold on steam specifically. Is this true? I would like to know before dropping $20 bucks on this.

While setting up my Raspberry Pi as a server, I noticed that if a client connects before the Pi gets its time set, the server immediately disconnects the client. It appears the server timeout is based on the realtime clock, it would be nice if it were instead based off a monotonic clock like /proc/uptime or clock_gettime(CLOCK_MONOTONIC, _ )

Has anyone used the authorization option to authorize against a Radius server? This would be very interesting in business use.

I've had virtual USB server working perfectly on android (running on Nvidia Shield TV) but just recently the it crashes (literally freezes) when connecting the same USB device that I've been using perfectly well. Has there been an update recently that may have caused this? The other odd thing, is that it thinks 2 devices are connected when I plug in a single device (usb game controller). Unfortunately it's now totally unusable. Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to use virtualhere to program an arduino connected to Raspberry pi 3 using a mac client.
I can see the arduino in the client console, but not in the arduino IDE.
When using a windows client, everything works fine.
I'm using latest raspberry pi firmware, and macOS 10.12.1.
