I'm not sure if this has been discussed yet - I've searched through the support logs for any reference, but found none.

We use quite a generic (read unfriendly) username logon at work - a five digit number, so when I have a dongle in use it show 'In use by 12345 at PC5'

Is it possible to assign friendly names to the user, so 12345 becomes 'Richard'?

I installed today a Synology DS216J. I enabled "Any Publisher". But there is no "VirtualHere" in "all modules" list. I try every Synology build with manual install, but it failed for all of them.

Is this NAS supported ?

I'm using an unlimited version (registered) on raspberry Pi, connecting from windows client.

Your software is really nice as it's usable over VPN remotely. So Far i managed to switch on my Ham Radio
(IC-7300) with the remote control software and control it.

Unfortunately, the audio doesn't seem to come thru. The device in device manager is basically the same.

The Device is identified as Speakers (USB Audio CODEC): inf name audioendpoint.inf, using a microsoft driver.

Running VirtualHere on Windows7. I have Steam Link build 513. At first, VirtualHere was unable to see the steam link, even when manually assigned via "specify hubs". Eventually, without warning, VirtualHere was able to see the SteamLink (without using specifiy hubs) and this ability remained for several hours. After that, it stopped again and hasn't resumed since.

I have just purchased a Motorolla Moto E 2nd Generation. The phone is running Android 6.0. The phone is being used to host a USB device over wifi.

When I plug in a new USB device I get the usual screen to allow the Virtual here program to use the device. However on that screen where it says:

Allow the app to access the USB device - Use by default for this USB tick box does not work, i need to click ok each time and regardless of if I tick the use by default or not I need to click each and every time. Is this an easy update to the application?

I use a droid incredible, and it isn't supported. Can you release it for a phone that old?

Hi!

After upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7 there is an error "Operation not permitted" while trying to start "Use" or "Auto-Use" the printer detected in client software. For a little time (couple seconds) a message "In use" appears near the printer's name in client software and suddenly disappears again.
On windows 7 everything works fine.

Ever since a recent Steam Link update, I can't use virtual here. I am getting the message "The server trial has expired" even though I already purchased an unlimited license. What can I do? Can you provide another key?

I see from searching the forum that renaming the attached USB devices has been a bit of an issue...

Am I right in thinking that, should a VID/PID/Serial number not be provided by the dongle, the server generates them - or works to that effect...?

We've got several (more than 10) which return properties of:
Vendor: AKS
Product: HASP HL 3.25
VID: 0529
PID: 0001
Serial: 81b...e8a0 - 9

All subsequent dongles connected after the 9th are also given the serial number ending in 9 - hence there are clashes and they can't be renamed.
