How to verify on client side

Forums

Hi Michael,
I am new to VirtualHere after struggling with usbip on a Rasberry for while.

I have started the server on the RasPi and the client i running as a deamon on the client.
I can USE my RasPi device on the client. So far so good.
BUT, how can I verify that the device "exists" on the client computer?
I have tried lsusb and looked in the /dev/, but nothing...

Unstable device address and COM port number

Forums

Thank you for an excellent product.

I have a server that collects data from several devices over the network. Devices have RS-232 interface, so I use Prolific USB-to-RS232, and connect devices to Raspberries running Virtualhere servers (licensed). I have total of 3 Raspberries with 6 devices, and growing.

Jumpy Mouse...

Forums

Hi,

I've bought a licence to use Virtualhere to control my main PC which is in an adjacent building connected to my LAN. I currently have a keyboard, mouse and joystick connected through hub. However the mouse is so jumpy when connected through virtualhere that I can't really control the PC. I've tried without the hub with same problem.

I'm currently running the server on Synology ds211j although I do have a Pi which I haven't tried as yet.

Any idea why this might be?

Thanks,

Alex.

Win7 Bluescreen with WIBUBOX/U

Forums

Hi Michael,

when connecting a USB Software Dongle (WIBU-BOX/U) to a Windows 7 64bit machine, the systems ends up with a bluescreen saying SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. The bluescreen doesn't occur, when connecting to the dongle, but when the dongle is accessed.
The dongle was used with a different USB Device Server before with no problems.
Let me know, what further information you need.

Thanks and regards

Axel

Non-gui linux client, missing requirements?

Hi,
I'm evaluating your software for a home automation project, so I need to eventually have 2 USB-devices attached.

I'm trying to use a raspberry pi model b+ as the server, and a virtualized debian-host as the client.

( but I did have to specify both IgnoredDevices and AllowedDevices for the filter to work correctly.).
