visual client on raspberry pi

Forums

New to pi and linux. I've installed USB Over IP from The Pi Store and would like to test it using the UI (showing each usb device.)

Each time I run it from the Pi store, I get a dialog "VirtualHere USB Server requires avahi-daemon. Would you like to intall this now?"

After responding 'Yes' VirtualHere displays another dialog with a button to start/stop the server and an about button. I don't see the tree view of connected usb devices.

windows client on windows 8 make the rapsberry pi server hang when scanning...

Forums

I just installed a virtual here server on raspbian. It works well and start up at boot time.
With my ubuntu, the client ui works well and the attached keyboard on the pi is usable on my laptop...
But with windows 64 client, the scan of usb hub make the pi to hang...
Do you have any idea ? I must have it working on windows before thinking to purchase my first licence to test. If the problem is solved, i will purchase à lot of licences.... do you have any plan to allow bulk prices ?

USB Asynchronous DAC?

Forums

I'm trying to connect to a USB DAC.
Does anyone know if this is possible?

I've installed the software to my CuBox i4pro using the rpi complilation on an openelec image, and its all up and running fine.
I can connect from my MAC using the client, and can see / use the USB port from OSX.
Thumbdrives are certainly working fine.

Problem sharing a USB soundcard

Forums

Hi!

I bought a simple USB sound card based on a CM108 chipset and I'm trying to make it available to a Windows VM. Windows sees the device, installs drivers for it and does not report any errors, but no sound is coming from it (also in programs displaying video synced with audio the video is displayed in fast motion). When connected directly (to Windows, OS X and Linux) there are no problems and the sound card behaves as is supposed to.

Gemalto USB crypto key

Forums

I made another test with VIRTUALHERE this morning
I'm working in a lawyer office in France.
Every lawyer in the country is given an USB Dongle which stores an individual certificate
This is used to communicate with the Courts and with the other lawyers in the country

It's quite complicated in my office since we are 15 lawyers
A lawyer is often working in another lawyer file and we loose a lot of time exchanging the keys between us.
So my idea was to plug all the keys in my raspberry pi and use Virtualhere to share them to everyone.

Changing ProductID and VendorID dynmically

Forums

hello,

currently i'm using a Wimax Chipset connnected to raspberry pi.i want to be able to change the ProductID and VendorID of the chipset in Windows Client,so the windows Drivers can recognize it.Would you mind adding an option in the client to change those values?

I think it would be easy enough,You just have to give the client an extra option to set ProductID and VendorID when he right click on the device.

Or if you think i can accomplish this with some hacks, please let me know.
