Question about licensing and the Trialware message when the client connects

Forums

Hello,

As I understand it, virtualhere is allowed to be used to connect one USB device free of charge. To connect more than one device the Raspberry Pi cost is $29 per unit.

I haven't bought our licenses yet as we are still installing our Raspberry Pi Thin Clients. One thing I've noticed in my testing though is whenever our windows client connects to the virtualhere server on our Raspberry Pi, we receive a popup message that virtualhere is in trialmode.

Raspberry Pi Soft Float Please

Forums

Hello,

I've been testing this on my Raspberry Pi Thin Client (http://rpitc.blogspot.ca/) and it was working very well for us. In fact we are moving to using this in production next week. But The only way I could get this to work was using the Soft Float. I've re-installed my image and didn't keep a version of the Rasp Pi Soft Float version. When I use the hard float all it says is "sudo: vhusbdpi: command not found"

Would it be possible to make this Soft Float available again please?

Thank you,

Trying to connect TV-tuner

Forums

Hi,
First a few thing:

What?:
I'm trying to connect an Anysee E7TC USB DVB-C USB TV tuner to my Windows MediaCenter 7.

Why?:
I currently have it connected locally on the machine but the reception is real bad and sometimes breaks. Due to the location of the MediaCenter (attic) I cannot get a cable there without the giving up good reception. And yes, I have tried using signal enhancers. The MediaCenter is actually a big server with lots of disk in them so I don't want that in my living room under/near the TV.

All-in-1 Card Reader Issues

Forums

Greetings.

I have an inexpensive all-in-1 card reader plugged into the Raspberry Pi and shared with virtualhere server 1.5.1. I am running the latest client on Windows 8 (1.6.2). I can see the device (shows up as USB Mass Storage Device, as expected) and can click & use it however none of the cards plugged into it are mounted. I have confirmed it works as expected when plugged in locally.

If I plug in a regular USB flash drive and share it then it is mounted and works as expected.

Is there any additional info I can offer to troubleshoot?

Failed to start DNSServiceBrowse, error -65568

Forums

Hello,

I've installed the Win32 version of the VirtualHere Windows client on Windows 7 to connect to my Raspberry Pi running Debian Wheezy (Soft Float). I did this install yesterday on my Pi and my Windows Client found the VirtualHere Server on my Pi with no issue...works great!

Then this morning I reflashed my Pi and did not re-install the VirtualHere Server on it yet.

It was then that I noticed that we started to receive every minute or so an error message on our Windows 7 computer:
