Problem with webcam

Forums

I installed yesterday VirtualHere on my Synology NAS DS112+ (without any problems). Than I downloaded and installed VirtualHere USB client for x64 version for my Windows 8. I connected to NAS Creative WebCam Live! and USB pendrive. USB pendrive was working fine and I could use it without any problems. The problem was with the webcam, when I choose "Use" VirtualHere USB client it connects webcam and after around one second disconnect it.

Support for Virtual Environment

Forums

Hi

Does VirtualHere support virtualised environment such as VMware and HyperV? I tested it with:
1) Normal flash drive: the connection will reset when I attempt to copy an .exe to the flash drive.
2) Secure flash drive: the connection will reset when the protected drive is mounted after authenticating successfully.

Both issues have the same error; "handleReadHeader error An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"

Thanks.

Wilson

ipod nano driver problem

Forums

Hi,

I'm having problem sharing my ipod nano (first gen) using a raspberry pi. Other devices however, including an ipod touch, works perfectly.

When I click "use this device" through VirtualHere Windows cannot find the drivers for this device and I get "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" in the device manager. I have tried several ways to re-install the drivers and manually point to the correct location, but it doesn't work. I don't have any problems when I connect the ipod directly into my laptop.

RPi crash with BrotherDCP135c and RPi gets Hot.

Major errors connecting to a BrotherDCP135c Printer/Scanner client side,it worked once or twice for a while sometimes but almost evertime server reports this error .....

*** glibc detected *** ./vhusbdpi: free(): invalid pointer: 0xb0b0d8b8 ***

Server config

Forums

Hi,

Interesting piece of software, very promising, well done!

I'm now running it on a Raspberry Pi. I noted that the server can take an argument for a configuration file, however I don't seem to be able to find any documentation or help about this file. Is there a file by default? What settings does it accept?

I would be most helped if someone can point me in the right direction.

Best regards,
Marco

Error when disconnecting client

Forums

Hi,

I recently downloaded the server application to my Raspberry PI and I got it to work to share my USB camera. During some testing, I noticed that when I exited my Windows client after viewing the Network Hub (only viewing items and not connecting), I see the following error on my Raspberry PI:

vhusbdpi ../tcpserver.c: 164: removeConnectionOperation: Assertion 'rs == 0' failed.
Aborted.

After this error, I'm no longer able to reconnect to the hub. Is there a way to restart vhusbdpi or to end it?
