I have installed Mac client
I have plugged my printer to the Pi.
I can see the Pi and the printer in the Mac client.
I can choose "Use" option but nothing happens. I have no idea how to instal this printer on my Mac.

Devices no longer accessable/visible locally when plugged in Ubuntu

Forums

I am having an issue with my Ubuntu workstation, Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS x64, and I have the latest virtualhere server, vhusbd64 v1.7.4. The USB devices work fine remotely via the virtualhere software, even new devices plugged show fine in virtualhere and work when connected to windows client. The problem is I can no longer use USB devices with my local station, even if they are not used with virtualhere or ignored.

(Un)ignore USB devices

Forums

Hello,

I have selected to ignore two USB devices on my Raspi with the Windows client.
Now I would like "un-ignore" them. What is the correct way of doing so?

I have stopped the daemon and manually edited the file /root/config.ini and removed everything from the option "IgnoredDevices".
Strange: the option "IgnoredDevices" only shows one ignored device and not both devices. However, the second missing device is also not listed anymore. It is completely gone from VH-client. I have not tried to reboot yet.

Raspberry Pi hints (and VirtualHere praise)

Forums
I wanted to post this in the hopes of saving others time and hassles. I ran into some very strange issues with the Raspberry Pi. I had intermittent issues where the device would not load, the software would hang, it would load then not change to the other device, etc. I did discover that the power adapter made a difference on how bad the problem was (would work fine a couple times then back to unresponsive problems). Come to find out, it looks like the Pi has USB issues I did not know about...

VirtualHere as USB protocol analyzer

Forums

Hi!

Would it be possible to add a monitoring/sniffing interface to either the client or the server so that one can capture the complete traffic
between the host and the device?
(Control-, Bulk-, Interrupt-, Iso-transfers for all endpoints)
Could be helpful for embedded firmware development on small microcontrollers.
Eg.: http://www.fourwalledcubicle.com/LUFA.php (USB host and USB device support for Atmel AVR µCs)

Raspberry Pi wrong drivers?

Forums

Hi,

I recently installed VH on my RPi and on my Pc. It works fine, i find my RPi in the list and i can see which devices are connected.
I tried to connect a normal mouse to test it. But i cannot use the device. I always get the following error (even if i change the device):

Error:

The VirtualHere Drivers could not be loaded.
Please reboot your machine and run VirtualHere again to install/upgrade the drivers.

Frequent server crashes

Forums

I installed VH on a Raspberry PI last week to share data from a weather station. Everything was rock solid for about five days, but recently the client has started dropping the connection several times an hour. I've attached the log messages from the latest crash below. The cycle of messages is repetitive, with the same series of six lines over and over.
