Windows 7 Client vhhub.sys memory leak

Forums

Hi there,
first of all: A great piece of Software!

I have the VH client running on my mini homeserver to extend a vcp USB Device of a raspberry pi.
But I had to notice that my server (that is optimized for 24/7 usage) is getting slower and slower - until after arround 2 days I have to hardreset it because it has gotten so slow that it wouldn't even restart while producing a lot of critical application errors.
The processor usage is at 1% - but the memory has run out.

I get an error message when I try to connect to a raspberry pi from one of my machines:

17:25:23 INFO :Drivers are up-to-date
17:25:23 ERROR :Hub failed to open error, access is denied. (0x00000005)

Raspberry is working fine if I use another machine and connect to it

The machine that's not working is a W7 x64

Client 1.8.0
Server 1.6.4

Override config file params on the commandline?

Forums

Greetings.

Is it possible to override config file params on the commandline? This would save having to, when sharing a common virtualhere server binary, either setup multiple config files ahead of time (with appropriate license key, server name, etc.) or doing a few kludgy sed on-liners to transform a config.ini template at runtime.

Thanks!
Ben

Client not working on OS X Mavericks

Forums

Hi
I just installed the server on Ubuntu 12.04, tried it with an XP client and it works (great, by the way!).
But then I installed the client on OS X Mavericks (10.9) and it loads, but under "USB Hubs" it shows a red dot with a string (8B27CB00-FE8D-11D5-AFBD-F46D045FB58C) which appears an disappears.
If I click on properties I get:

NAME:
Version: 0.0.0
STATE: Connected (error)
Address: NAS.local.:7575
CONNECTED FOR: 5 sec
MAX DEVICES:
SERIAL NUMBER: 8B27CB00-FE8D-11D5-AFBD-F46D045FB58C

Strange error on latest version

Forums

Hello,

We now have a hard float raspberry pi image which I'll be using as my thin client. I've downloaded your latest server and it's running on my raspberry pi. I've used your remover to clean up my Windows computer of any previous versions of virtualhere client. I've downloaded your most recent version 1.7.8.

When I connect to my Raspberry Pi server I see the following message:

00:43:02 INFO :handleConnect error No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it (10.301.3.5:7575)

Windows XP

Forums

Hello,

Does the Windows Client work on Windows XP? I realize that XP is out of support very soon, but we have a few we are still using in our small office.

I can install the VirtualHere 1.6.0 client on Windows XP and I can see my USB device connect to my Raspberry Pi. But when I select USE, I see the following:
Log File:
Hub failed to open error 0x00000103

PopUp Window:
The VirtualHere USB Drivers could not be loaded.
USB sharing functionality will be unavailable.

Thank you

Client auto start?

Forums

Hi,
I tried the server on Pi and client on W7. They worked pretty well. Thanks for the good work.
My question now is do I need to start the client every time and select the USB device to make it run? Sorry if the answer has been documented somewhere.
Thanks.
