Support for VirtualHere hardware and software
Hi!
Are you planning make hardware build for Pi 5?
When using the VirtualHere routing system in a router, DNS forwarding is not possible, and AdGuardHome cannot be used properly. Clients need to specify DNS in the network batch to access the internet, and using VirtualHere routing cannot proxy DNS
I'm trying the product in the following configuration:
Upon stating the server and then client the server is detected and hub is listed in the client window. After plugging in USB storage stick to RPi I can see the device in the client. When I click "Use the device" after I while the client shows "(In use by you)" and I can hear the Windows sound for connecting USB device but the storage volume does not appear in the system.
Hi,
I would like to know if you support a bluetooth headset (AirPods) connected to macOS laptop 1 forwarded to another macOS laptop 2 with ModularKVMIP, including microphone and sound. I cannot install anything on laptop 2, that's why your ModularKVMIP looks great. But I'm wondering if two-way audio sync is supported, surely emulating a USB audio device ? In others words, I need to hear on laptop1 audio sound from laptop 2, and to send mic audio from laptop 1 to laptop2 for Google meet sessions.
Also having interest for camera, keyboard and trackpad too.
Hello -
One of the USB drives in a HUB that contains multiple USB drives intermittently becomes unavailable. At times, it comes back online on its own, at other times a restart of the server console, or the service, or the virtual here client (right click->stop using->start using). Any idea why it detaches, when every other USB on this hub does not require this step?
Ping Settings
Server Ping Period 3 seconds
Server Ping Timeout 10 seconds
Thanks,
Chris
Hey everyone,
I am using the server on my Android Shield to send my mouse and keyboard to the PC. It is working very well but when I'm finisehd I would like to use mouse and keyboard again on the Android device but it seems the server is not releasing the USB and unless I unplug/plug the device, I cannot use it anymore on the host.
I did install the client as service and activate the AutoAttachToKernel=1 in config file but it does nothing unfortunatly.
Thank you in advance!
Hi there, hope you can help me.
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B v1.2
All new install, Debian core, rpi3 version of install
I use VirtualHere on Debian, and that is all that is installed, and after time the USB ports seem to freeze and don’t release items.
A reboot fixes things but is not ideal.
Any ideas what might cause that?
I was reading through the documentation, and couldn’t find any reference to a server finding all clients on the network.
I see that bonjour is setup on the server to broadcast out to clients, but not the other way around.
From the server side, I see that reverse connection is a new feature. It allows the server to connect to static ips (which is great), but didn’t notice a way to have the server find all current clients on the network.
Is there a built in way to find all clients dynamically from the server and I just missed it in the documentation?
Hi,
I'm having an issue with VirtualHere: the server doesn't retain the nicknames assigned to the dongles after a reboot. In the config.ini file, I see the string DeviceNicknames=PROG 1,0529,0003,12,PROG 2,0529,0001,16,PROG 3,0529,0001,17..., but it seems that it's not being loaded correctly by the program. Does anyone know why this might be happening or how to fix it?
Thanks!
The Raspberry Pi zero 2 w does a 64-bit Cortex-A53, like the Pi3, but it is suggested to run the 32 bit version of their OS on it due to very low RAM availability.
I see that there is a VirtualHere USB Server Optimized for Pi3 and Pi3B+ (Cortex-A53 hardware floating with NEON SIMD ARM8 instruction support) listed. Would that be the version that would work on the 02w? The proc name is right, but the "neon simd arm8" part I don't know about.
