Help! Android server stopped working since don't know when.

Forums

Hi Michael,

I've loved the VirtualHere service since I bought a license for my android 6 tv a few years ago. Lately I found the server stopped and couldn't be started again. Tried resetting all user data, uninstalling and reinstalling (from Play Store or sideload the apk from our homepage), still no good.

Could you please help me check? Here is the log.

Virtualhere Server crashing

Forums

Hi.  I'm running the latest VH Client and VH Server (from MSStore) on Windows 11 24H2.  I connect 3 devices (Jabra Speaker, Logitech C922 Camera, and a Blue Microphone).  Within the first 10 minutes, the VH Server crashes.  I restart it, and typically, it's fine after that but there have been times when it crashes again, and I need to restart it.  After this, it usually works for the rest of the day without issue.  I have a dmp file and analyzed it with Windows Debugger which is pointing to a memory access violation.

Segmentation fault on Docker+Proxmox

Forums

Hi everyone,

I am using VirtualHere in a Docker Container, but I keep getting segmentation faults.
The container starts up briefly but will shut down after a second.
I tried to correct the permissions for the folder - changing permissions leads to a different error, so I don't think thats it.
I removed the container multiple times to start with a fresh image, but it makes no difference.

The LXC Container in which Docker is placed, runs with nesting=1 and keyctl=1.

CloudHub warnings since 4.7.5

Forums

Hi Michael,

We've recently updated 6 CloudHub images on GL-AR300M16 to version 4.7.5 and all of them have this warning each 4 to 10 minutes:

daemon.warn odhcpd[1271]: No default route present, overriding ra_lifetime!

Prior versions did not have this warning. They are connected via ethernet and have DHCP turned on (no static IP addresses). DHCP renewal works okay.

Invalid address when trying to run the client at boot

I have the client running as a service on a raspberry pi running Bookworm.  If I execute a list, I get:

pi@piprod:~ $ /usr/sbin/vhclientarm64 -t "LIST"

Auto-Find currently on
Auto-Use All currently off

Raspberry Pi 5 Bookworm error: (vhuitarm64:16196): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 12:53:11.171: gtk_box_gadget_distribute: assertion 'size >= 0' failed in GtkScrollbar

Forums

Switching from 32 to 64 bit architecture on Raspberry Pi 5 using latest Bookworm.  Getting following error when loading the vhuitarm64 client:

(vhuitarm64:16196): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 12:53:11.171: gtk_box_gadget_distribute: assertion 'size >= 0' failed in GtkScrollbar

Seems another user had this problem in April of last year on Bullseye and you gave him a test version to try but that link is gone.

I tested it on another machine just to be sure and the same results.
