I'm trying out Virtualhere.  Nothing fancy.  Two Windows 11 computers in the same building, on the same network.  Nothing special about the computers.

I plug in a SanDisk USB flash drive on the server and I'm able to use it on the client as expected.  All good so far.

Bug Report – VirtualHere + Apple Silicon + ScanSnap S1500

Product: VirtualHere USB Client & Server
Versions tested:

• Server: VirtualHere USB Server v4.8.6 (Windows 10, running on VirtualBox)
• Client: VirtualHere Universal Client v5.9.5 (macOS Apple Silicon M4)
• Scan device: Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 (USB 2.0)

Summary

New VirtualHere user with licensed server running on Ubuntu 24.04.

Successfully used the VH client on a Win11 VM and a Debian Trixie VM but not a pi4 running raspbian bullseye.  When I attempt to start it

sudo ./vhuitarm64 -l /tmp/vhgui.log

It will return to the $ prompt in about 1 to 2 seconds, log below.

I can however successfully use the console client no problem.

Any suggestions?

I keep getting a pop-up on my windows laptop about installing something like "Microsoft.WindowsAppRuntime.1.8.1.8.3" and none of my colleagues got this message. I wonder if this is related to the VirtualHere client, since I am the only one using this software.

The exact path is "C:\Users\Chibitul\AppData\Local\Temp\WinGet\Microsoft.WindowsAppRuntime.1.8.1.8.3" and this seems to pop up some time after I start the VirtualHere client.

We are using a PI 4 to Windows 11 setup.  The Windows camera app and the OBS app works very well.

However, we can't get it to work in OpenCV.  An OpenCV expert and I have spent at least 5 hours with Gemini and ChatGPT and we still have not been able to get it to work and always get a blank screen.  

We have forced DirectShow, explicitly Set Format Before Reading, hard-Flush Frames on Startup, assure One Process Owns the Camera, among many other things.  Still blank screen.

I'm trying to use VirtualHere to remotely connect to a USB noise-cancelling microphone. In the VirtualHere client everything looks good. I can see the VirtualHere server and the mic shows up under it, but my laptop running the client doesn't see it as an available audio device. Any tips? If it matters, I'm using the free, unlicensed version and I've had it set up for a couple years but haven't used it after initially testing it when I set it up.

I just wanted to try and diagnose a problem that I am hoping is not related to the previously mentioned Android issue re: keyboard passthrough you raised a ticket for.

I recently purchased a WobKey Crush80 wireless keyboard (https://www.wobkey.com/products/crush-80-reboot) that comes with a 2.4ghz dongle.

I'm using the Triforce fork of Dolphin with a Hori wheel, and I experience the following:

I have a raspberry Pi set up with the wheel connected via USB, and running Virtualhere server.
I have a PC running the Virtualhere client.

if I launch Dolphin from the PC, I have full control, everything works perfectly.

Hi, I did purchase for the license, however when I use USB serial like CP2102, I am able to connect this device and receive data from Tx, but I cannot type anything to send Rx, it just doesn't work.
Please support me for this problem.

sorry if this is long winded, but I've been down this rabbithole for a few days now.  Here's my situation:

I have a Raspberry Pi on my network with a USB controller attached
I have a windows PC I use for  TV, browsing etc.

What I would like to do is to stream emulators to the Pi (things it can't run natively) from the Windows PC, and have the USB device on the Pi control that content.  I also don't want the streamed content to interfere with the video or audio of my logged in session.
