Hi.
I've been using (a licensed) Virtual Here to send a 3D mouse from macOS to my work Windows machine for the last few years.  All is good with that.
Last week i attached a Windows box along side the macOS box, and switch between them with the Keyboard/Mouse switch (really USB port switch) built in to a Dell monitor.
I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to make the client machine (Windows at work) see the 3D controller.

Do I have to stop the server on the macOS, then start it on the Home Windows machine, and vice versa?

I'm using VH for connecting to USB vehicle interfaces via tailscale VPN.

Been working well for a long time including today with another device.
2 different laptops at one location I can no longer use.
Sharing works fine, but the device in the client device manager cannot start:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
 

On the server laptops, there is a popup that the driver has been blocked vhsd_usb.sys.

I'm really enjoying your product.

I am currently using the VXE R1SE mouse, which supports Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, and wired modes.

When I connect the mouse to my tablet via a wired connection, the driver is recognized properly and the mouse works perfectly. However, when I plug the 2.4G wireless receiver into a USB hub, the tablet does not recognize it at all.

Is there any way to fix this issue or any workaround you could suggest?

VH worked the very first time using Steam Link and Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel playing American Truck Simulator.

But after that very first time, it stopped working.  Tried rebooting both Steam Link and computer, starting Steam as administrator, toggling USB share in Steam Link, downloading and installing VH client (it did see the wheel and showed that I was using it), and set VH as a service.  VH is running according to Task Manager but wheel is not showing up in ATS.

I have not subscribed yet, I am using the demo to see if it works for me before purchasing.

I have an error when trying to use a device on the client. Using the easyfind trial I am able to connect to the remote pc over the internet and I can see the server with all the attached usb devices. When I click on use this device on one of the joysticks (standard hid device with no special drivers) nothing happens. It doesn't appear in my usb controllers. Can you advise why this might be happening?

Good day, I updated my headset from v72 to Horizon OS 2.3 and discovered that the HTC Vive facial tracker stopped working. I tried a lot of things while searching for a solution, and one of the solutions (the apk is the most current one available on the website) revealed that the headset now has a new resolution for external cameras, which doesn't have an app, only Remote Desktop.

Unfortunately, the VirtualHere server via SteamLink on the Google TV Streamer is very unstable. If I completely reset the system, it works. However, when I reconnect the controller’s USB cable, VirtualHere no longer recognises it (even though SteamLink does recognise the G923). If the TV streamer has been in standby mode (or I use another app?), it can no longer find the controller. The only way to get it working again is to force-close the vh app. After that, everything works again. When I then launch the SteamLink app, the steering wheel is displayed.

I have been using 2x Seeed Studio XIAO Sense ESP32's with cameras and a passthrough powered USB hub with VirtualHere for almost a year with no issues.

I purchased a Project Babble tracker and it arrived. I flashed the firmware and set it up to wired mode, and directly connected to my PC it works, so I do not believe my issue is with this hardware.

I've run into an obstacle in my setup. I have a keyboard device connected to the Nvidia Shield TV directly, that is then controlling my PC via VirtualHere.
With a start command and a bat file (vhui64.exe -t "USE, etc"), I have successfully made it so that the keyboard can control the Nvidia Shield TV just fine until I connect to the PC (which runs the bat file). At which points the PC correctly takes control of the keyboard.

In short, this problem turns out to NOT be a VirtualHere issue, I’m posting here in case anybody else hits the same problem.
