USB mouse not being passed through on Android phone

Forums

Hi, I have just started using VirtualHere again, and am trying to connect my USB mouse through a hub attached to my Android phone. The mouse moves a cursor on my phone and won't get passed through VirtualHere, even though the hub is showing on the PC. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks

Constant usb dropping and reconnecting

Forums

I recently bought F1 22 to be able to play it in VR. I'm almost 40 hours into trying to get vr to work. Using Shadow pc and virtualhere as a workaround for the usb redirect issues with shadow. I can get the server and client to connect for my thrustmaster wheel assembly but the usb disconnect and reconnect sounds just go on/off constantly and the wheel doesn't work on the shadow pc at all. I have the actual drivers for the wheel on the shadow pc. Here is a log from VH

Please help, lol

Trying to use virtualhere over internet, not working

Forums

I'm trying to use virtualhere over the internet (not my local home network) to control my computer (windows 11) with my android tablet.

Virtualhere works fine when I'm on my local network, but I can't get it to work over the internet.

On my computer I've port forward TCP 7575 and, in the client under specify hubs, I've added the public IPV4 address of my android tablet that I have the server running on, but it does not connect to the hub. Sometimes the client will show a quick message "Connecting to USB hub" but then it disappears and the hub never shows up.

Sharing Game Controllers through android phones/tablets no longer works

Forums

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E with Android 11 on it. I connect an xbox controller and a mouse to it through a usb hub and use virtualhere to to control my windows 11 pc.

The last time I did this was about a year ago and it worked just fine. Now I am trying to do it again and for some reason the xbox controller will not work on my PC. It shows up in the usb hub under the virtualhere pc client and it says it is using the device, but it does not actually connect it to windows. The mouse still works just fine.

Not sure whats wrong, did something change?

usb 4 port with ethernet hub on android device- only one device connects

Forums

Hi, just purchased licence to get my fanatec steering wheel (connected and working) along with the diy handbrake, logitech gear shifter and even potentially webcam working.

however, no matter what device I plug in first, the android hub only shows the fanatec wheel.

the devices are powered up as I can see light on handbrake, I've used a powered hub inline before the 4 port and also enabled powered host mode on device.

Device Limit

Forums

I am testing out the virtualhere software on a raspberry pi <running pi version of ubuntu 22.04>. I have a dozen usb sticks (and a couple usb hubs to chain) which I am testing with as our end-application will need many usb devices connected to a single linux client. It seems to be working well, except that I run into the following error message in the "System Messages" window when I try to connect to more than 8 usb sticks:

2023-01-05 10:28:30 ERROR :There are no more free vhci_hcd ports, this device cant be attached!

Win10 crashes when connecting Xbox Wireless dongle on SteamLink

Forums

Hi,

this used to work fine for years now, but now whenever I plug in Xbox wireless dongle into the Steamlink, there is a hard crash on my Windows10 machine connected via Virtualhere.

I tried reinstalling the driver, the Virtualhere (via Steam) server etc. nothing helped.

Some entries I'm seing in the Windows event log around the time of the crash are:

Device is connected and in use but no stream from server to client

Forums

I am connecting USB microphone and if server is started under Windows then it works great (except the fact that if I stop the server before client disconnects then Windows is BSOD) but overall it is working fine.

If I start on linux based router then I can connect from client, device is in use but apps are giving me an error that audio path is suspended so I guess some important packets are not reaching the client.

I did a log but it is still unclear what is going on
