Support for VirtualHere hardware and software
Server is running on a Raspberry Pi which is sharing a City Theatrical RadioScan spectrum analyzer antenna. Periodically I get this error on the client and have to restart the client before I can reestablish use of the USB device.
Hello I have purchased the unlimited number.
I have about 7 printers but some clients connect to more than one This is something I don't like
I want to make each computer communicate only with one, help me because I have no experience, I just want commands and add them config.ini
help make auth.bat add config.ini
windows 10
I just recently moved from using a USB over fiber solution (which was then mapped into a KVM VM) to using Virtualhere (with the VH server running on baremetal, and client being the same VM), and I'm having all sorts of issues.
The passthrough works fine for about 10-120 seconds (variable) and then it stops working.
I'm trying to pass an RME Audio Digiface USB device through VH, however I've tried with another RME device (Babyface) and the same problem occurs.
I get the following errors in dmesg on the VH Server side:
I have 2 printers I want to use remotely and have been using VH for this and it works well from the remote machine. The problem I'm having is using it back on the server machine. When I stop using the device in the VH client, this works fine for one printer, I can print again on it from the server machine, but for the other printer, it remains offline after I stop using it in the VH client. Restarting the server computer gets it to work again.
Hello,
I was stumbling about this stentence in the "Purchase" section: "Will remove all trial restrictions". Unfortunately I could not find any information about what these are. Is it only the limited times of use or are other restrictions implemented like limiting the bandwidth?
Thanks in advance.
Good afternoon, my office has been using virtualhere as a dongle server for many years. I just took over maintaining the system and add a few new USB hubs to the Raspberry Pi that holds the server. Currently we have 36 ports available, but only about 20 are being used and all of the client machines are running Windows 10. The modification that was made today was to replace the older USB hubs with newer, but identical hubs, but when I restarted the Raspberry Pi and virtualhere, all of my dongles will appear and then disconnect. Is there a known reason for this?
Hey Michael,
Hope you're well, mate.
The following command was given for upgrading to the latest server version for Rpi4, but it's currently not working. Can you advise if this has changed, please?
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/virtualhere/script/main/install_server | sudo sh -s - vhusbdarmpi4
All the best,
Dax.
Hello:
I have VH Client installed on my Win10 Desktop and USB Server installed on my Win11 laptop. The VH client does not show the laptop among my list of hubs.
Both machines are connected to the same wireless network.
I have disabled all three Windows Defender firewalls (Domain, Private, and Public) on both machines.
I have disabled the general firewall and the IPV6 firewall on my Asus GT-AC2900 router.
I have not had any issues with my Nvidia Shield or my Steam Link.
The laptop is running Tiny11.
