Hi
Model name: Intel(R) Atom(TM) x5-Z8350 CPU @ 1.44GHz
Cores: 4
CPU load when copying a big file: 50% of a core (the binary shows 50% in top(), the rest is idle with no waits)
Network: 1Gbit, same subnet
USB 3.0
I get around 30 MBytes/sec.
Is this expected? Is further tuning possible?
Thanks a lot
When connecting remotely, my ip:17570 in specify hub
I can see "usb Hub/ synology Hub". but I can't see the usb on the server.

Hello,
I would like to request assistance with a connectivity issue I started encountering a while back;
I'd been using Nvidia Shield with Steam Link and VirtualHere to connect Thrustmaster T248 (steering wheel) + Logitech TH8 (gear shifter) to my PC. It used to work real well, but since maybe a year or a half this solution no longer works for me.
I've recorded two screen captures to exemplify the issue.
I am thinking of converting a thin client PC into a virtualhub server. Should end up with a quad core intel with 8gb ram and a 2.5G ethernet card. Was wondering if you had recommendations for a lightweight linux distro I could use.
the Epson printer is not shown on the Hub only usb drive is attached? I'm using Ubuntu 22.04
Hi Michael,
Setup: Windows 11 client, Raspberry Pi 4 server
Usually pi's are capable of connecting to a PC over a direct ethernet connection without a full IP setup. A link-local address is created for the pi, which connects the two devices without sharing the internet connection. Recently the direct ethernet connection repeatedly fails to connect (log snippet below). I've tried the following:
- restored default settings on the client
- ran different versions of the client
Hello,
I'm having problems using SafeNet 5110 eToken FIPS with VirtualHere, i can see the token and use it in virtualhere, but the SafeNet Autentication Client does not detect it as connected, even tough i see it in the device manager.
Installing the same safenet client and using the same token in a local machine works.
I tried putting "ClaimPorts=1" in the server config, but no luck.
I tried with a Windows Server 2019 (Hyper-V Core 2019) and Linux with Kernel 5.15, using VirtualHere USB Server v4.5.8
The VirtualHere was 5.5.3 Win64.
Hi,
I just purchase a license for this software, but my nvidia shield tv 2019 is not detecting all devices, it only detects my usb flash drive, but no keyboard or mouse, am i missing something here?
I have been using VH for several years. My server is on a Raspberry Pi and clients on Windows and Raspbian. Trying to run the GUI client on an Orange Pi 3LTS. HAve the Desktop version of Debian installed and can VNC into the system or operate directly with a monitor and keyboard. I assume the proper client vhuitarm7(.1). When I run that program as sudo or normally, I get no errors but the GUI doesn't display. I have also tried the other 3 Linux clients but get erros when I try to run them. Any ideas? Thanks.
