Is there such a thing like Linux Console Client that runs not as a daemon?
Need to know it before I setup my next trial env. Thank you
I've done about all I can do, I've given it firewall exceptions, turned off my antivirus, pretty much everything. When running the USB Server it shows up for a second and then closes itself, if you try and run the service manually it starts and stops quickly, running with -b says "Timeout waiting the VirtualHere USB Server service to start".
Please advise. Thank you!
I was evaluating the app, and at some point I thought I'm about to succeed with my initial configuration via reverse client option (my device has finally shown up on Linux client USB Hub window), but after I have clicked "auto-add" I ran into the problem - disonnect-reconnect of the device. Till then, the device was connected continuously, and VH Android app was runnning - no reconnects happened.
Hello, I am using a usb c ethernet adapter on Mac and while it tries to connect, it eventually blows up and disappears. It is the Best Buy essentials adapter based on the RTL8135 chipset. I have tried it on Mac and on linux (pi) using a usb c to usb adapter with the same result. If there is no solution I am happy to buy a different known working adapter if anyone can advise on one that does fully work. Prefer it to work on Mac. (also yes, I am connecting on the devices through other means (tried wifi and wired) with same result. :/ Thanks for your attention.
Hey there,
I've been using VH for a very long time and still love it. Now I've been doing stuff on my unraid server and thought: "it would be handy to be able to plug in a usb device downstairs and I can access it on my server"
Now there are various plugins for usb management, even one with USB-IP .. but none with Virtualhere. This is sad but not a drama ofc. I was thinking one of 2 things:
- an unraid plugin (plg) that just installs virtualhere-client on the server;
- USB-IP server on virtualhere server.
Hello,
I have Virtualhere running on DSM 7. I want to access Virtualhere through "Cloudflare Tunnel," but I'm unable to access it via port 17570. When using a port like 80 or 443, I receive the following error messages:
2023-05-26 19:33:16 ERROR: Data stream corruption, compressedSize=1347703880, uncompressedSize=825110831 2023-05-26 19:33:28 INFO: Server ping timeout, shutting down connection 895...
Is it possible for the system to work via Cloudflare Tunnel? If so, do you have any solutions to suggest?
Kind regards
Jean-Baptiste
On Windows 11 if start VirtualHere Server with -i parameter, the client (always a Win11 machine), using the Auto-Find function, doesn't use IPv6 address but still connect to the server using the IPv4 address.
Reading the log, the server correctly identifies the network as a dual stack, if I manually add the server using its IPv6 address in the client configs, it finds the server correctly.
Is using an Xbox One S Controller direct through USB C to an Android server supported (no microsoft dongle)? Tried searching through forums and saw a comment mentioning it was temperamental as of a few months back.
Currently my windows client detects the controller, it shows up in device manager under xbox peripherals->xbox controller, but various games, the gamepad tester website, and xbox accessories app do not detect the controller/any input.
Thanks in advance
Hello,
I have been trying to get my 8bitdo wireless usb adapter to passthrough virtualhere from my nvidia shield device with no major luck. I know the setup is working because I can pass a normal flash drive to my PC without issue.
Error log shows this.
Will be useful to enable app execution alias, this way a use is able to launch the server from command line ad provide also command line arguments
