Devices not seen on Windows 10

Forums

I have VirtualHere running on Raspberry Pi 3 server and a client running on Windows 10 home 64 bit. However in some cases, especially after coming back from hibernate (but this morning after a fresh start too) the devices attached to the raspberry are not seen by the Windows system.

I use USB to Uart devices attached to raspberry Pi 3 and on the windows side the devices not listed at the development environment as COM ports. On the other hand they are discovered by the service when I issue a vhui64.exe -t list command:

Setting device limit in client (server license purchased)

Forums

Hi
We're using VH to kiosk a dozen UP!Plus2 3D printers using Raspberry Pi. It works fantastically well, and you're to be congratulated on a brilliant product.
We've bought the unlimited license, and actually found one snag which we didn't have with the trial version (bear with me here!)
Is there a way to limit the number of devices (to 1) a client can connect to?

New web-site issues and Mac Pro/Windows issue

Forums

Michael,

I don't know if it's just me, but since the web site changed I haven't been able to log in without requesting a new password each time...?

Secondly, where has the search function gone?

Thirdly, I started a thread a few months ago in relation to random drop outs for unknown reasons... It's still happening every now and again, but I don't believe it's directly related to our Synology NAS or VirtualHere itself, but you may be able to assist.

Unable to "use" one Dongle - Windows Server

Forums

Newbie to VirtualHere so be gentle.

Running Windows Server Version (2.8.7) - licensed version

I have three dongles plugged in to VirtualHere server. Two dongles are the same (UFED Dongles), one is a flash drive.

I can connect to one of the UFED's and the Flash drive just fine, but when I right click on the other UFED dongle and select "USE" nothing happens, no error message. The dongle is not mapped.

Any ideas on how to approach this?

thx
Dave

Virtualhere not working or showing G25

Forums

Hi All,

I have a steamlink and have tried to connect my G25 to it and use virtualhere to connect the device.

However, when I run virtualhere after connecting the G25 wheel to my steam link, no devices show and I sometimes get an error as below.

The error i get is:

../src/msw/toplevel.cpp(1544): assert "m_menuDepth > 0" failed in
DoSendMenuOpenCloseEvent(): No open menus?
Do you want to stop the program?
You can also choose [Cancel] to suppress further warnings.

No devices ever show under virtualhere as well...

Client as a Service - use device error

Forums

Hello,
i'm evaluating VirtualHere, everything works perfectly with Windows client running.
My real interest is to use it as a service, i followed instructions and installed it without any problem but i cannot have my device working!
If i type vhui64.exe -t "USE,AddressOfTheDevice" after some seconds it just says error
Tryed to use AUTO USE DEVICE and an asterisc (*) appears correctly on the left of the device but it doesn't work and if i use DEVICE INFO on that device says me that noone is using it.
What i'm doin wrong??
Thank you!
Emiliano
