License issue on a RPi with read-only root

Forums

Hi,

I have just bought the license since I was not able to get the usbip Windows client running correctly.

I use a Raspberry Pi B+ as a print server - my USB printer is directly connected to it. I wanted to share that USB device (as there are no drivers for my printer for armhf I cannot share it via e.g. Samba etc.).

Everything was working smoothly until I wanted to secure my SD card from corruption by making the root fs read-only (according to this tutorial:https://hallard.me/raspberry-pi-read-only/).

Trying to get headphones to work with steam link

Forums

I just discovered this product today, and I am attempting to get USB headphones to work on steam link.
VirtualHere sees the device, and I can see my headphones. When I right clicked on them and said "use", the very first time it looked like it was going through, but I got a blue screen on Windows 10.
Any subsequent attempts, show two drivers with "install failed", even after a few reboots.
My log is below.

Disconnect from user

Forums

Hi and first of all thanks for this great software!

Actually i think there's not many points to make this software even better.
Well maybe some way to send a message to a user that is currently using a device. But i think a simple text-chat is out of scope ;-)

We're having an issue with the timing, tough - and I think you could solve that issue by extending the server software.

ReadyNas 104 - No printing with a DeskJet 895cse

Forums

Hi
I've installed the app on the readynas 104 and your client on my windows 8 machine. Windows installed the printer drivers and your client reports the printer is there.
Easy I thought but it doesn't print. In the print queue the status toggles between printing and restarting.
Any ideas?

Thanks

I'm using Version 2.7.2 on the my ReadyNas and 3.4.0 trial Client

I connected several USB devices hosted on my RPi. Now i added two more devices to my USB hub and get the following message from the client on my Ubuntu Desktop:
INFO :Failed to connect to session manager: SESSION_MANAGER environment variable not defined
ERROR :There are no more available free ports on this client. Try disconnecting an existing device

Client in a LXC-Jessie-Container on a QNAP?

Forums

I've set up a VirtualHere-Server on a Raspi. The Windows-Client will find the devices. It's all o.k.

Now I try to start the vhclientx86_64 in a Debian-Jessie-LXC-Container on a QNAP TS-453.
How can I do this?
Where must the client be located?
What is the command to start the client? (./vhclientx86_64 -> "No such file or directory)

I'm just running out of knowledge.
