Show not connected devices in client

Forums

Hi Michael,

we use VirtualHere to connect software license dongles to different computers. Since we need the dongles from time to time in areas without network connections, the dongles are removed from the server regularly.
In order to get a better overview, it would be helpful to see usb devices in the client, which are not physically connected to the server, but configured in the server in terms of DeviceNicknames.
What do you think about this?

arduino & raspberry pi 2

Forums

Hello,

I am trying to use virtualhere to connect from my mac to an arduino due plugged into raspberry pi 2.

The server and client work great, I can see the arduino in the virtualhere client interface tree, and it is marked "in use by you". However, the arduino IDE does not seem to see it in the available ports list.

When I check the system usb info using ioreg -p IOUSB -w0 -l, I can see the arduino. When I check using the pySerial utility (serial.tools.list_ports) I can't see it.

Realtime response

Forums

Hello all,

we have purchased a virtualhere licence and is in the process of testing the feasibility of the product in our product solution.
Currently, we have our own in-house developed audiometer that connects via usb to client software on a laptop.

Obviously, the client software connects correctly when there exists a direct connection between audiometer and laptop/dektop.
However, when I remotely connect to the device, using a raspberry-pi as an intermediary, I get time-outs on the responses issued by the client software.

Mac El Capitan, AlarmDecoder, RaspberryPI

Forums

I am using a AlarmDecoder USB/Serial Connection to a RaspberryPi. The device mounts and works when connected directly to RaspberryPi and/or connected directly to my Mac. On the RaspberryPi it shows as /dev/ttyUSB0 and on the Mac it is /dev/tty.usbserial-DJ009GBR.

VirtualHere is running successfully on the Raspberry Pi and the client is install on the Mac. I can see the hub and the correct divice, I just can't access it on the mac under /dev/ - It isn't showing

License Expiry

Forums

Hi,

I recently updated by QNAP TS412 and I'm now getting a trail license expiry despite having a full license. This seem to happen very time QNAP release a new version of their firmware. I have even updated the system with the latest version of your software from your web site.

This is getting a little tiresome - hoping we can fix this once and for all

BSOD While Installing Drivers of Shared USB device

Forums

I'm trying to get a Saitek X45 HOTAS working on Steam Link. I'm using 64-bit client on Win 7 64-bit and enabled sharing on Steam Link. I can see the server when I start the client, but no matter what device I select to use (I've tried using the Saitek as well as the Steam Controller that I also have), when it starts to install the drivers, it crashes to BSOD. I did make sure to plug in my Saitek to my computer first so that the drivers are installed there already as that is something I read on the Steam forums.

Any thoughts?
