I would like to possibly use virtualhere for tethering a dslr and a small webcam remotely or astrophotography use. Of the available usb over ip software solutions this one seems the most mature and easy to setup. The device I plan to have the server running on is a dlink dir-510L portable router (runs on battery) with openwrt. I have successfully tested virtualhere and know that it works fine with the camera doing tethering with liveview. Obviously to run two devices I will need to purchase a license, which is why I am asking about this here before buying.
Hi,
I've just loaded the server onto a raspberry pi, I have an RTL2832U USB dvb-t receiver plugged in which I use for software defined radio.
I have loaded the client on win 7 x64 and can see the device ok.
I am trying to use it with the sdrsharp software, this requires using the winusb driver which is installed using zadig.
I can see the RTL2832U in zadig and it says it has installed the winusb driver for it.
When I try to connect using sdrsharp it says no compatible devices found.
Any ideas how to debug this?
Thanks,
Andy
I successfully installed USB server on my raspberry, the client is a raspberry running domoticz without GUI, can I run it in free trial mode?
Sorry for stupid question, I'm new in the Linux world
How to automatically launch vhusbdx86_64 on boot or login of ubuntu 14?
Any idea how to do it? I need to move a 9600 baud data stream from one place to another. I have RS485 to USB devices and it does recognize the one at the server. How to get the client on a second Pi 2?
Thanks
Hi there,
if I do purchase a License for VirtualHere it is limited to the specific server device. Is it possible to change the license to a different server? If so, how? Is it a automated process or do you have to grant the change of license manually every time. I noticed that you have to define the Serial Number when purchasing. I'm asking because I have two Single-board computers and I'm not 100% sure which one I will use with VirtualHere.
Another Question: Is there a educational discount available?
Regards
Hi,
I have a server on OpenWrt and client on Windows 8.1 when I try to shutdown the OS where the client is installed and is using the device, windows 8.1 don't shutdown or reboot. The solution is close the client before shutdown. Can you release the device on shutdown or reboot?
Thank you
Andrea
Hello,
I did a search but perhaps missed it. Can you confirm if VirtualHere Server will run on the Raspberry Pi 2?
Thank you,
Charles.
Hey Guys,
I'm testing out VH product and I'm trying to get AK5370 microphone from Logitech working between RPI 2 and Mac book pro.
On mac book i can see device in list atached to hub and interface is connecting to it but i cannot see microphone either in any software or in System Preferences.
Did anybody had any luck with microphones and USB over IP between RPI and Mac?
