Supported devices question for VirtualHere for Steam Link

Forums

Hi,
I am trying to get several devices working that aren't controllers, using a Steam Link unit and VirtualHere for Steam Link client installed on the client pc.
I have done a bit of experimenting but whenever I try to connect some devices such as a Quest 2, or my phone just for testing- to the USB port on the Steam Link, when I remote into the client PC I get the "Operation is not permitted" error.

Just wondering if:
- Is there a fix for this? The custom event handler didn't help when I tried it

T300 RS GT wheel and pedals not working

Forums

Hey there, I have a Thrustmaster T300 RS GT wheel and pedals I am trying to use via steam link and virtual here, but neither the wheel or pedals work in game.  Thanks so much in advance for any help!

I have updated the T300 firmware to the newest and have the latest windows 10 drivers installed.  Steam link also has the latest firmware.  Wheel mode is set to PC (PS3), green light.

I am trying to play forza horizons 5 and it works fine when the wheel is connected directly to the PC.

Not working Windows 10 with Xbox 360 Wireless adapter on Steamlink

Forums

I recently purchased VirtualHere for Steamlink to use my Xbox 360 controllers via the USB wireless controller adapter. Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 controller doesn't seem to be working properly during the Steam Remote Play streaming session. The controller does briefly work in Steam upon initial startup for a couple seconds. Steam appears to see the controller because it shows a notification about loading the relevant controller profile. After those couple of seconds, the controller is no longer able to control the session or even exit out.

Bind_Error on Logitech G923 Wheel

Forums

Hey all,

I'm having an issue connecting my wheel using VirtualHere. On the local pc it is connected to, the wheel is lit up until I request the connection on the remote PC. Then VirtualHere hangs a few moments, the lights go out on the wheel, and neither PC is able to see it until I un-plug and re-connect the USB.

Here is the snippet from the log related to it:

CAM Output is Chopped

Forums

Hi

I have a USB2 camera (Touptek GCMOS01200KMB) connected to a Odroid XU4 and am using your optimized VirtualHere build.

When viewing on the client machine (Win 10) the 640x480 output is choppy as shown in this video: Link to Google Photos Video When connected directly to the client the vision is fine.

I have increased the 'usbfs_memory_mb' to 1000 as per the FAQ. Latency is low as per CSV extract below on a 1Gbps Ethernet connection

Are there any steps I can take to improve the performance?

Oculus Quest 2 Sideload

Forums

I suspect this has been asked before, so I apologize about not being able to find it. I am attempting to do the *relatively* common task of running an HTC Vive Facial Tracker through the Oculus Quest, but as Meta has been locking it down recently I’m very wary of committing to any single method.

Making a specific name enables the user to connect to the printer

Forums

I have full activation of the program

How can I make the name option for users, for example, his computer name must be, for example, Michael, so that he can connect to the printer, and if the user does not have name Michael an error, is it possible to do this option?

And if Michael's name is not, he will not connect. Can I do this feature?
