Forums

Hi,

I have a server on OpenWrt and client on Windows 8.1 when I try to shutdown the OS where the client is installed and is using the device, windows 8.1 don't shutdown or reboot. The solution is close the client before shutdown. Can you release the device on shutdown or reboot?

Thank you

USB Microphone

Forums

Hey Guys,

I'm testing out VH product and I'm trying to get AK5370 microphone from Logitech working between RPI 2 and Mac book pro.

On mac book i can see device in list atached to hub and interface is connecting to it but i cannot see microphone either in any software or in System Preferences.

Did anybody had any luck with microphones and USB over IP between RPI and Mac?

VirtualHere server not starting on Arch Linux

Forums

I have tried using VirtualHere (vhusbdx86_64) server on 64-bit Arch Linux but when I try to launch it nothing happens. I've made sure I gave the program executable permission and ran it via sudo. I'm using Arch's stock kernel 3.18.5 and the Cinnamon desktop environement if that matters at all. I will point out that the program does create the config file the first time the program is ran but that's all it does.

This is what happens:

[vince@arch Downloads]$ sudo ./vhusbdx86_64
[sudo] password for vince:
[vince@arch Downloads]$

Cannot connect Win 7 to ReadyNAS 516

Setup Server side of USB VirtualHere V 1.9.3.
Setup Client side on Win 7 (64 bit) with V 2.7.0. (Auto installed Bonjour)
Both machines rebooted.
When running my install software for an APC UPS, it cannot find the hardware.
The VirtualHere window shows
USB Hubs
ReadyNAS Hub
Back-UPS CS 650 FW:817 v9.1 USB FW:v9 (In use by you)
USB Disk
There is a yellow star to the left of the device.

Please help.

Server for CentOS v5.11 (i686)?

Forums

Hi,

I have successfully tested VirtualHere with one device on a Linux Mint 17 and I would like to run it on an already running server to share several USB devices (at least two right now). This server is using an Asterisk+PBX distro (based on CentOS v5.11 i686).

I can run the vhusbdx86 server and it starts, but then the clients cannot see any USB devices on it (?). I have tried writing explicitly "AllowedDevices" in the config.ini, but with no luck.

I am using server v2.0.6 and Windows client v2.7.0 (the latest as of today).

Maybe this is a stupid question and deserves a stupid answer.. :D

i have following problem: finally i managed to get everything installed on my router in a way that i can download a file from the camera SD card.

unfortunately since it uses PTP protocol, the camera is hiding all files/folders it doesnt know. for instance, every folder not named like it does is hidden. every file that is not a video a photo or whatsoever is hidden too..
