Win 7 port device driver not loading

Forums

I have downloaded the most recent Client and attempted to install (using admin) on two different computers. One a 32 bit laptop and one a 64 bit tower. In both cases the two hubs show up in the Programs and Features listing. Opening the Client, the server side shows up as well as the device itself. Right clicking, selecting Use and then looking in the Windows Device manager to identify the port to use. I notice the the Port is identified but the driver itself is not installed as shown in the Port/Properties dialog box. The 64 bit tower goes to BOD and reboots at this point.

User/Device Authorization in Python and Other Languages

Forums

in Michael's Authorization example
i noticed he was running a bash script as a command
with arguments and using the exit return code
as a True/False boolean this would also allow us to write
in other languages too like perl, c, python, lua, php

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
#!/usr/bin/env python
# This is a Python Clone of Michael's Example
# But Instead of Logging the Strings im Just Printing Them

import sys

how much cpu or two devices

Forums

I would like to possibly use virtualhere for tethering a dslr and a small webcam remotely or astrophotography use. Of the available usb over ip software solutions this one seems the most mature and easy to setup. The device I plan to have the server running on is a dlink dir-510L portable router (runs on battery) with openwrt. I have successfully tested virtualhere and know that it works fine with the camera doing tethering with liveview. Obviously to run two devices I will need to purchase a license, which is why I am asking about this here before buying.

RTL2832U on Pi to Windows 7

Forums

Hi,

I've just loaded the server onto a raspberry pi, I have an RTL2832U USB dvb-t receiver plugged in which I use for software defined radio.

I have loaded the client on win 7 x64 and can see the device ok.

I am trying to use it with the sdrsharp software, this requires using the winusb driver which is installed using zadig.

I can see the RTL2832U in zadig and it says it has installed the winusb driver for it.

When I try to connect using sdrsharp it says no compatible devices found.

Any ideas how to debug this?

Thanks,
Andy

License Question

Forums

Hi there,

if I do purchase a License for VirtualHere it is limited to the specific server device. Is it possible to change the license to a different server? If so, how? Is it a automated process or do you have to grant the change of license manually every time. I noticed that you have to define the Serial Number when purchasing. I'm asking because I have two Single-board computers and I'm not 100% sure which one I will use with VirtualHere.
Another Question: Is there a educational discount available?
