Not sure if this has been brought up before or not. I'm considering moving to use an LTSP server whereby each Raspberry Pi connects into the LTSP server to remote into a Windows (VDI) desktop. My plan was to have the Virtualhere client running in the Windows image to allow a USB device connected to the Pi to be seen in the Windows VDI image. Not even sure this is doable since I would have to ensure that the LTSP desktop sees the USB connected to the Raspberry Pi.

I am trying to get a 3G USB Modem to work using VirtualHere for sending Text Messages from a Window 2008 Virtual Machine.

It successfully installs the drivers and connects, however when trying to send a text message, I just get "Unknown Error" response.

This has successfully worked using a Silex USB SX-3000GB Server.

Modem: Huawei Mobile Connect (0x12D1 0x1003)

Does the debug show any logs when using the device? or only connect/disconnect.

I'm trying to get a USB dongle connected over IP however the software probably has some troubles with it. It is a Z-wave dongle from Aeon Labs (Aeon Labs DSA02203-ZWEU Z-Wave Z-Stick Series 2).

I cannot install the client build drivers from 22 Aug on my Mac OSX box.
Its finding my Raspi Hub okay but then driver installation fails when clicking the usb device.

Heres the relevant console log entries. Seems something like kernel header issue on the build process maybe?
Also tried rebooting and installing again as recommended multiple times but same error all the way.

Any Idea what I could try?

I am trying to use VirtualHere as a USB to Serial hub in order to Virtualize a home automation system. At this point the longest I can get it to stay connected is about 16 hours.
I have tried a couple different usb to serial dongles in my testing. Right now I am testing one with the FTDI chipset, this one seems to last only about 4 hours, the prolific chipset seemed to last much longer.

I have attached the messages log and the syslog, the only thing I can see is that at about 7:11 the connection gets removed.

My USB drive is used to back up my NAS and Windows machine. The Synology NAS backs up on even days and Windows machine on odd days. This means every other day the Windows machine takes over the USB drive.

The problem is that the drive is not being gracefully ejected from the NAS which causes a warning to be generated.

I'm running 10.9.4 with a raspberry pi (model B) and latest raspbian. I've a HP PSC 1400 Series Printer connected to the Pi with powered usb hub, which works properly with CUPS and all that stuff. When trying to make the printer available to Mac OS X for the first time, my computer immediately crashed and rebooted. The second time the device connect but still isnt available for Mac OS X.

Im trying to connect a usb midi cable to my samsung galaxy s4 with usb otg support, but I only get a "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" device. There must be something wrong.

I'm using a raspberry as server and Win 8 x64 as client. The speakers of my headset works well but I can't make work my microphone. He is recognized on my computer but no sound seems to be "heard".
Any ideas ?
