Hi,
first of all, thank you for developing such a great software.
I`m trying to install configure my Synology DS414 to share an USB-Serial Adapter to an Windows XP SP3 x86 Client (virtualised with Hyper V Hypervisor (I know, Windows XP is out of Date, but on this machine runs a special software which doesn`t run under later OS.
Hello,
Tried to mask UPS connected to QNAP NAS. IgnoredDeviced on QMAP config.ini looked like:
IgnoredDeviced=1005/b155
Added VendorID/ProductID obtained from client:
IgnoredDeviced=1005/b155,051d/0002 (APC UPS, ProductID=0002, VendorID=051d). No effect.
Is this feature disabled on QNAP NAS?
Thank you!
Hello,
Recently installed servers on 2 devices - QNAP NAS and Debian-based NAS.
Also clients were installen on 2 Windows PCs. Symantec Endpoint Protection is installed on both PCs.
First issue that I got - on attept to switch on Auto-Find option on client running as application I'm getting error message:
ERROR :Failed to start DNSServiceBrowse, error -65540
Okay this one may be a step too far but I'll give it a shot.
The camera I'm using is crap due to the fact that it would appear the driver wants to pump firmware too it when its loaded so it would seem.
So......
On my windows client, if I plug the camera in, it is detected in the Device Manager but seems to get its knickers in a twist and when I load up some video software it complains about a bunch of stuff and basically doesn't work.
Reverse Connections are ok if your client is not behind a firewall. Most times both the client and server are behind firewalls.
Most modern firewalls support uPnP to open up ports automatically and without having to tweak the firewall settings every time something changes. Are there any plans for implementing uPnP support in the server and perhaps client to facilitate connections?
Hello
I'm trying to run a couple of USB cameras over virtualhere for some telescope stuff, all proof of concept at the moment but the idea is sound.
Anyway, one works fine, the other is detected and is fine up until it tries to expose. Then Windows 8 gives me a BSOD and reboots complaining about vhhub.sys
Is there anything I can do to debug this?
Thanks
Tom
Hi!
Today i set update of VirtualHere module on QNAP TS-469L
After that my client PC can't see USB hub on QNAP!
I'm tried download latest software for client side, but no result.
Same on other computers.
Any solutions?
Hi.
I've got a little problem with VH conflicting with p910nd print server (http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/p910nd.server) on my OpenWRT router.
The problem didn't occur when I was using a trial version of VH - now with embedded one, when a second device is connected the problem is as follows: several desktops print to the printer via p910nd but when one of them connects the printer with VH (it doesen't have to print, just connecting) printing via p910nd is no longer available.
