Cloudhub support for USB Wireless Adapters on Raspberry PI4B

Forums

Hi Michael

I am trying to connect a VGA (640x480) webcam running at 30fps to stream from a clouddhub server (Raspberry PI4B hardware) to a remote PC.

It seems the performance of the onboard WIFI of the PI4B can only handle up to about 70~80Mbps. I can only get stable frames if I lower the frame rate to 15 fps.

I am thinking it could be solved if I connect my ALFA AWUS036ACM USB wifi adapter with 2T2R to the Pi4B . Unfortunately the cloudhub firmware doesn't seem to include the driver for this adapter so I am unable to test out this configuration.

Arduino upload issues

Forums

Hello,

I wanted to try VirtualHere on combination of RaspberryPi 3 for server (most recent firmware and up to date standard raspbian) and MacOS Monterrey as client (both Intel and M1 versions).

Installation and port autodetection went smoothly, but unfortunately sketch uploading always fails and leaves arduino in some weird state after which I need to connect it physically to MacOS machine and program it there. This is debug log when uploading sketch:

Arduino: 1.8.19 (Mac OS X), Board: "Arduino MKRZERO"

Trying to add startup parameter to client ISSUE OSX Monterey

Forums

I'm trying to add a startup parameter to the client on OSX, the FAQ says that there is a file I can add it to at:

/Users/Username/Library/Preferences/vhui Preference

However this directory doesn't exist on OSX Monterey, I can't seen to find the file.... (in fact the directory /Users/Username/Library doesn't seem to exist)

I want to add -a for adminstrator mode...

No Connection to a SpaceMouse from 3dconnexion possible

Forums

Hello,
I am trying to make a USB connection to the client with Virtual Here Server 4.3.6 in the demo version.

This works fine with an SD card reader, a hard disk, mouse, and keyboard.
Unfortunately I can't connect to a SpaceMouse. (https://3dconnexion.com/de/product/spacemouse-wireless/)

The client reports "There was a error using this device" and the server log says

Additional hotkey options on Windows

Forums

Hello! Let me begin by saying thanks for creating this great piece of software, I've been a customer for a little over 1.5 years and it's been super useful.

I just purchased another license for a new use case on Windows, passing my USB hardware from my local environment to a VM that's physically hosted in another part of the house. It's working great.

Cant find usb server(windows) on client side (mac)

Forums

<p>I am unable to find the USB server (running on my windows PC) on the client-side (running on my Mac). I just want to use one device only which is my keyboard (Kingston, HyperX Alloy Origins Core) so I didn't think that I need to buy the license. Am I supposed to specify which device I want to use on the server or client-side or connect only the one USB device that I want to use? Because in the server log it says registration returned an error then following with managing device 1,2,3,4 . Any help that I can get to resolve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

iOS devices

Forums

Hello

I'm trying to get iOS devices to share over the network (mainly iPads). I am currently using the trial version to test whether VirtualHere would work for my setup.
I already understand that for iOS devices, both the server and the client need to run macOS.

As the server, I am using an Intel iMac (2013) with macOS 10.15 (Catalina) running.
As the client, I am using an M1 MacBook with macOS 12 (Monterey) running.

Client Cannot See Hub

Forums

We installed the latest version of VirtualHere hub/server on our Windows Hyper-V 2019 Core server as a service, but when running the client from another server on the same network, it cannot find it.

We've tried unregistering and re-registering the service, manually specifying the server by IP address, and adding firewall rules at both ends for port TCP 7575 and UDP 5353 both inbound and outbound.

The log just says, "Could not connect to x.x.x.x:7575".
