Licensing model feedback

Forums

My use case is kind of the reverse of the current licensing model. I want to have a Mac mini at home with no USB devices connected. Occasionally, when I am out I want to connect an iPhone to either my Surface Pro or Android tablet or another PC, use Xcode on the Mac mini through remote screen sharing (VNC or whatever) and deploy on my iPhone which I have with me. It would make more sense to pay for the Mac Mini license which is the client according to your model but in my case that is really the server.

No com port assigned on client side when virtualhere client connects to server through a remote TCP connection port 7575

Forums

Under the same home network, when virtualhere client (my laptop) connects to a raspberry pi (where virtualhere server is installed) connected to a Solar controller, a comp port is assigned to the client machine. I then use the com port assigned in my Solar Controller software application, and I can run the solar software application without any issues. This allows me to run the solar app on my laptop in my office at the second level of my home when the solar controller itself and the raspberry pi are at the lowest level in the garage.

Server on Nvidia Shield constantly showing unlicensed.

Forums

Hello, I have a server license on an nvidia Shield. It seems like every week or so it "loses" the license and I need to copy it over again on the Client PC. On the Shield it says, "This Server is unlicensed."

It's happened at least 10 to 15 times over the last 6 months. Is there anything I need to do on the Shield to prevent this from happening?

Thanks.

Steamlink/ShieldTV License

Forums

Hello, I purchased VirtualHere for SteamLink a few months ago. However, I found the SteamLink doesn't have enough processing power for what I'm trying to do (mouse polling rate was causing massive latency/stutter). Because of this, I purchased a Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019) and it works GREAT with VirtualHere.

Container VH client on Home Assistant OS

Forums

Hello,

I'm running Home Assistant OS on a Raspberry Pi 4B. I wonder if anyone has succeed with running a container with the VirtualHere client alongside Home Assistant on this platform?

I've tested the cav94mat container (https://hub.docker.com/r/cav94mat/rpi-virtualhere/) but I'm getting the error "Failure error while creating mount source path '/opt/virtualhere/conf': mkdir /opt: read-only file system". I'm suspecting it's because Home Assistant OS is quite locked down. I can't even find /opt.

Auto Use by Address

Forums

Hello,

I am currently trying to auto use a device when booting the windows client.
This leads me to a problem, the client auto uses all devices because they all have the same vendor id and product id.
The only difference is the address e.g. 1114 1115 1116. How can I modify the vhui that only device with the address 1114 starts?

Sidenote:
Client is not installed as a service and because of security/permission settings it probably wont be.

Thanks in advance!

Rename more Then 10 Dongle Failed

Forums

Hello @ All.

I have the ServerVersion (Beta) on a Sysnology DS1821+ installed.

On the Window10 Version run the Client with Version 5.2.1.

Now I have here 18 license dongle (HID dongle) from the same company. 10 I could clearly name. When renaming the 11 dongle, the 10 dongle is overwritten and the former 10 dongle is called HID dongle again.

What is the Problem now?

Logitech G923 Racing/Gaming Wheel

Forums

I'd like to use a Logitech G923 Gaming Wheel with VirtualHere and a remote Cloud Gaming Service.
My Client is a Mac Mini with M1 Chip running macOS 11.6.

When I connect the wheel to my Mac mini (doesn't matter whether it's connected directly or via an USB hub), it gets forwarded and reacts to it, but on the remote server it appears as "Xbox Gaming Device" with an yellow exclamation mark symbol.
Opening the properties shows the following error:

„This device cannot start. (Code 10)
STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE“
